Summary: - Blue LED's, these can be "clipped" easily enough (the front requires taking off the faceplate, be -careful- the "clips" holding it on are a bit more brittle than I would care for)
Pros: - Inexpensive (for the price range and number of bays/fans) - Good many bays, easy enough to access
Cons: - Bay mounting holes. I have four different brands of products in the 5.25" and 3.5" bays. NONE of the holes line up -just- right. The holes on the 5.25" bays are the worse offenders. I prefer to use all four screws per bay, especially when putting together a system for a friend, relative or customer (as it usually means shipping it). The 3.5" bays aren't too bad and the 5.25" bays can be done, but, slowly as to ensure you aren't crossthreading/striping the threads of...
Summary: The top fan mount vibrates causing an annoying sound. I can loosen and tighten from time to time and sound will stop, but it will come back...doing this has caused the head of my fan screws to become stripped. This case is neither loud (unless fan mount is being annoying) or quite. I would say it is somewhere in the middle.
Pros: Sturdy Good Warranty Front fan cages allow fan to be removed without hassle Washable dust filter for front fans
Cons: No Front fans Only 2 fans Only one dust filter for front No bottom ventilation No cable management Annoying sound from top fan mount I have never been able to use the front speaker jacks. Some how during manufacturing the plastic piece that holds the jacks was made too short. So when I try to plug a pair of headphones in (I have tried other sets too...hoping it was the headphones), the male connection does not fully seat with the female connection. It does work if you...
Summary: Like I said, there are better cases out there for around the same price if not another $20 or $30. Throw down the extra cash and get one of those, it will be worth it for now and in the long run.
Pros: Good case flow and temps, Decent amount of fans, Nice place to tuck wires, plenty of 3.5" and 5.25" slots, even has a 2.5" mount on the bottom of the case for your SSD which surprised me when I got my SSD today and saw the specs on this case.
Cons: This case hasn't aged very well. I honestly don't recommend it any more as there are better more up to date cases out now at about the same price. It builds up a lot of dust and lint even with the lint catcher on the front of the case. Wire management is a pain. Not enough space for the biggest graphics cards which takes away one or even two of your 2.5" slots. Everything is cramped and that kills case slow even though the case flow is pretty good regardless.
Pros: Great price for what you get, leds are very cool, included fans
Cons: Small for larger graphics card(s). My 2 sapphire 270x toxics did not fit length ways, had to start cutting. Granted my cards are some of the biggest I've ever seen (over 12 inches long). Now am only left with 2 or 3 hdd bays
Summary: I bought Antec because they are a pretty solid brand. I also bought from Newegg because I've trusted their customer service in the past. It appears as though my trust may have been misplaced. I contacted Newegg to RMA the fans but they want me to send in the whole case. On top of that I get to pay for it all. Why would I pay that much money to ship in a case when new fans should cost less to buy and ship than just shipping the case?
Pros: The case is just what I wanted. Has a lot of fans for moving the air around. I immediately added extra 'optional' fans to get the best air flow possible. I'm using this as a media server with a lot of hard drives and wanted to keep the case cool for 24/7 operation.
Cons: Unfortunately, the fans in this case really suck (opposite of blow). They are 3 speed fans and the 140 mm fan wouldn't even spin until I set it to 3, at which point it vibrates a makes a ton of noise. The other fan when set to 1 (slow) wouldn't turn for more than 2 seconds and when set to 2 (medium) would only sometimes work. I bought this case to have a lot of fans that were quiet but still moving a lot of air. Having to turn this fan on 2 or 3 to guarantee that it w...
Summary: I would recommend Antec updating the two front USB ports to 3.0. No reason for less after they have been out so long. I am still not sold on bottom mounting PS.. I regard dust and video card clearance as much bigger issues than questionable thermal gains. Also, the position of the earphone and mic jacks at the top of the case is nice for easy reach.. but bad as the cords then hang in front of the drive bay doors when trying to access drive disks.
Pros: Good looking sturdy case. The fans are quiet, screws and cables are all in good order.
Cons: I big note to consider regarding this case is that PCIE card clearance is 11" excactly! This means that a video card must be slightly less than 11" to fit! As a result probably MOST of the highest end video cards will not fit in this case! I was fortunate to SLI a 9.5" and a 10.3" card. The hard drive mounting rails at the front of the case could easily have been designed an inch or more narrower to provide more space.
Pros: Great looking, excellent build quality, and good airflow.
Cons: Case is dated: non-existent cable management, and awkward positioning for 2.5" drives. No reason to buy this case when better alternatives exist for the price. If you like the styling, spring for the Antec Three Hundred Two or the Antec One.
Pros: Coming from a huge 8 year old Antec case to this new one is a night and day difference. I have to frequently move my desktop, my old case must weigh twice what this case weighs. I can still fit my full sized ATX G1 Sniper mobo with no issues, my 4 HDD's mounted fine, as well as my two DVD drives, and SSD. Cable management is not really existent, theirs an area to shove cables below the last bracket for HDDs, and a slot that allows you to sandwich cables between the si...
Cons: I'd give this case a full five stars, but one of the front LED fans doesn't spin, and there is a dent on the top of the case. I bumped it out with a hammer, and its better, but I'm still disappointed, I've never had a bad Antec purchase until now.
