Antec P190 Case Video Review

3dGameMan.com
8 July 2008
  • Summary: The Antec P190 Case is based on the original P180 case, but with many improvements. For one, it's a little larger so 12x13" Extended ATX form factor motherboards now fit. Also, there is no space issue fitting the newest very long video cards. The cases fans have also been upgraded. There are now a total of five TriCool fans; two 140mm at the top, one 120mm at the back and bottom, and a 200mm Big Boy fan on the left side panel.

Antec P190

  • Excerpt: If all the world’s computer cases were playing a game of Battlefield, then the Antec P190 would surely be one of the tanks. This thing is a monstrosity of a midtower, though functionally, it differs very little from everything else in Antec’s P-series of cases. However, this case does add improvements we’ve been dreaming of since we first laid our hands on the P180.
  • Pros: Tons of space, snake light inside the case, easy to manipulate.
  • Cons: Still no switch for the snake light; cable management could be better thought out, but it's improved.

  • Conclusion: Antec's P190 is a fine example of a case created by a company who truly cares about what their customers think and want. The P190 isn't for everyone, but this case will definitely have its fan club...I nominate myself as president... But seriously, the P190 is one hell of a case designed and built for the computer enthusiast who wants the best of the best, sparing no expense. The quality is second to none and I don't think I have ever seen ANY case so over built.

Antec P190

  • Conclusion: Its big, its heavy, but I have the feeling that it’s not quite as good as the P182. All that’s changed are the side panels looking worse and an extra 360mm of fan installed. While the cooling is unmatched, there seems no real reason to buy this over the P182, especially at nearly £300 (including the 1200W of PSU).
  • Pros: Included power supplies, Top class case air cooling, Large
  • Cons: Price, Unbalanced PSU’s, Heavy

  • Summary: This is one of the most feature-packed cases around town. It's not cheap and it's not light, but if you've got a lot of hardware and like to tinker inside your case as often as using your PC you'll appreciate this bad boy.
  • Pros: Built-in torch light, spacious, cable management and spare screw storage, twin power supplies with dual-control power distribution, noise management, easy access hard drives, removable/washable dust filters.
  • Cons: Weight
