New Fans

Wren M., Newegg
22 March 2012
  • Pros: This and similar cases have been the BEST for years. I use them in every high end computer I build. VERY quiet. Room for 6 hard drive in pull-out drawers.
  • Cons: I just received 2 new ones today and the fans now connect to the motherboard instead of a MOLEX connector these cases have always used. The problem is there are TWO fans, but only ONE sys fan connector on most motherboards and Antec didn't include a splitter. I just ordered two splitters from New...

Sleek on the out side, but Not well thought out on the inside.

Philip N., Newegg
5 December 2011
  • Summary: Bought this as a bundled package to build an 8 core for my son for Christmas. Overall very satisfied with the system, however, I do have a couple of issues with the case, but over all, pretty roomy.
  • Pros: More Drive space then you will ever probably need. 2 USB 2 & 1 USB 3 ports on front panel. The interior design allows you to hide most cables behind the motherboard. Cleanable screens to filter out dust on vacant driver ports. With an add on Antec H2O 920 Kuhler for the CPU and the original top c...
  • Cons: Large Video Cards can not be installed due to middle drive bay configuration. The USB 3 Front Panel Cable is an external cable that you have to pass through the back panel to plug into a USB 3 Port. Would have been nice if they included a patch for the motherboard, or better yet, make the cable a...

Noisey Top Fan

Thomas W., Newegg
26 October 2011
  • Summary: Really an excellent case other than the fan noise. I do not understand why Antec does not use a different fan to address this problem.
  • Pros: Except for the Fan a really nice case
  • Cons: The top fan blows upward and makes a weird humming noise. Researched it on the internet, many had the same problem, and I finally just bought two replacement fans, now it is nice and quiet.

Worth 90 bucks thats about it

Michael W., Newegg
25 November 2010
  • Summary: I paid 90.00 for it and wouldn't pay anymore for it.
  • Pros: Case is heavy as two ton Bessie. Fairly nice build quality. Kinda Quiet, NO FLASHING BLUE LIGHTS THAT SCREAM LAME!!! I have been looking for a more classy kinda case and this was the best i can do.
  • Cons: Well the wires in the case could have been about 8 inches shorter so now i got all these wires everywhere. Feels pretty cheap compared to most cases i used. This is nowhere near quiet, there is a low hum and while its in that low range that doesnt bother you it still is there

Not that awesome

Andrew H., Newegg
27 October 2010
  • Summary: It would be a decent case for a server or something but not much else. I really don't think that this case is really quiet or any special so I am not sure why they advertise it to be that way.
  • Pros: It has removable dust filters. The stock case fans each have their own fan controllers. Air flow is very good even with the door closed. Plenty of hard drive space and good cable management features.
  • Cons: It has a door, don't think I'll make the same mistake again. Way to small, don't buy this case if your going to be using a big video card, the heat from it hits the metal plate above the power supply and has no where to go. Why even bother with the separate compartment for the PSU? Good luck gett...

A bit disappointed... (damaged at factory?)

Kenneth M., Newegg
23 September 2010
  • Summary: Additionally, the magnet which should be firmly attached within a cavity within the case's front door remained on the case's front panel when the door was opened. I'm attempting to fix with some silicon adhesive. I'm not going to RMA the case since it is still functional (i.e.
  • Pros: Very nice looking case. Great interior. Compact but roomy, efficient design. Most everything in the case is of good quality. However... It just blows my mind that Antec would make a relatively high-end case which has plastic retainment hooks for its side panels! (I was shocked) What makes it even...
  • Cons: I knew something was up as soon as I removed the case from the shipping container -- could hear small pieces rattle around when tilting the case back and forth... and then two small pieces of black plastic fell out of the back end before I even tried to remove a panel. I was able to locate a thir...

Its ok......

Timothy Z., Newegg
27 August 2010
  • Summary: I would like to know why the smaller P180 utilizes a huge 220mm fan on top of the case while the larger P183 only uses a 120mm System Intel Core i7-930 COOLER MASTER Hyper N 520 EVGA LGA 1366 Intel X58 SLI LE OCZ Gold 6GB (3 x 2GB) DDR3 1600 GIGABYTE GeForce GTX 460 (Fermi) Seagate Barracuda 7200.12...
  • Pros: It looks good......
  • Cons: If your an experienced builder who wants a simple and not flashy case then this might the the right purchase for you. However over years of building several systems i am slightly disappointed in the feature set of the case given its high price. While there is nothing wrong with the case at $180 i...

Could Be Much Better

Michael B., Newegg
24 August 2010
  • Summary: Best to keep a box of band-aids around when you start working with it, although most cases are manufactured to cause spontaneous amputation nowadays. Even with the money-saving goodness, I think I'd go with a Lian-Li next time.
  • Pros: Massive, massive, massive case. Nice modular design. Plenty of space for most mid- to high-end system builds (good idea to have plenty of space to put this puppy in/on too). Bought when Da Egg was offering free shipping AND a nice sized rebate. Otherwise...
  • Cons: Not a happy camper when it arrived with malfunctioning filter doors (wouldn't release w/o a little too much persuasion, had to wait for replacement). If you haven't blown out your hearing, you'll find it's not as quiet as expected (in my case, that's with four case fans running, on low). Noise le...

Not a bad case

Christopher F., Newegg
18 August 2010
  • Summary: Nice case looks the part
  • Pros: Nice case all the bells and whistles except for one!
  • Cons: No Power Supply........you buy similar case cheaper with no power supply. You would think Antec would at least drop in a 350-500watt PSU for hecks sake

Good case. Minor drawbacks abound, however.

Seth H., Newegg
11 February 2010
  • Summary: Honestly, I would've considered my options a bit more before buying this case if I could buy a new case again. This case is overall pretty solid but there are just too many small things that keep me from rating it 5/5.
  • Pros: First of all, I love the aesthetics of this case. That aside, my main (objective) pros: Bottom mounted PSU in a separate chamber, sufficient drive bays, great airflow once you put in two more 120mm fans, fairly quiet and cool, hinged air filters over the intake fans, solid cable routing/management.
  • Cons: Lots of plastic parts, which is disappointing for a case this expensive. The top drive bay basically has to be removed to fit longer video cards, leaving you with 4 internal 3.5" bays. Very heavy.
