Summary: - Did not easily fit my CORSAIR Hydro Series H100i Extreme Performance Cooler. I was able to mount the radiator to the front intake fans without any cutting/welding/botching. Not a CON but just buyer beware. Overall, the case is outstanding and will last me many years, this thing is still bullet proof. I hope that Antec releases an updated version to modernize this case. Would I recommend for others? Simple answer, yes, but I would caution them on some of it's flaws.
Pros: (Giving this a 3.5)...Outdated case. I've owned the Twelve Hundred for roughly 7 years, and the case (or tank as I like to call it)is bullet proof! Since I was no longer in need of a full size tower, I opted for it's small brother Nine Hundred. The Nine hundred is still an extremely well made case, but it needs updates (see cons). - Solid build quality. Still the tank I've grown to love - Plenty of airflow, great for overclocking - Adjustable fan speeds, though you ha...
Cons: - Drive bays, solidly built, but still difficult to remove. Have to access both sides of the case. - Front grilles are a PITA and must be removed, 2 screws on inside of case, to get to airfilter and drive bays. The Twelve Hundered just popped out. - No SSD bays, still have to use the adapter. - Little room on the back side of the case for cable management. - Did not come with airfilters, had to use my Twelve's.
Summary: In 2010/2011, I would probably have given 5 eggs, but now there are better products.
Pros: Case is solid, heavy, and well built. Mine has been working with no problems for 4.5 years now. The front-mounted audio and USB ports are most helpful.
Cons: The case provides no room under the motherboard to route cables, leading to a more cluttered top end than necessary. Long video cards will require removing a HDD cage. The comments about dust collection are accurate but typical of cases generally if they don't have intake filters.
Summary: Antec makes some great cases and this WAS no exception. But this case has been on the market since like 2006 w/ no modifications. I think it is overpriced considering what you are getting. Docking one egg for the price and another egg for the missing features I'd like to see. I returned this case and bought the Thermaltake G42 w/ window.
Pros: 1. Built like a tank
Cons: 1. Requires tools to install drive bays 2. Need a kit to convert 5.25" bays 3. No air filters 4. Expensive
Summary: This is a good case, despite its faults. I prefer dust-filters and full-size cases now, however. If you don't mind buying canned air every so often and like smaller cases, this is a good choice.
Pros: Looks awesome as hell. Easy to carry. So many fans. Has a place for a side mounted fan and those are amazing and you should have one.
Cons: Lets in a TON of dust. Quite cramped - if you plan on having a modern graphics card you're going to have a bad time (it will fit, but it will be exhausting).
Pros: Sturdy, reliable. Comes with pre-installed fans, with nice leds.
Cons: Out of my whole build, this is the one thing I'm not 100% satisfied with. The case is rather small and full metal, and there is very little instructions when it comes to building. The case itself looks ok, but the fans are loud and not that efficient, the leds are a bit bright, and the case itself looks somewhat awkward in person/ Getting my large build into the case was a struggle, but I am satisfied with it.
Summary: This was for my first build and bought it going off the reviews from here and was quite disappointed with the cable management and the lack of engineering when it came to switching fans and HDD/SDD's around. I hate that I don't love it because its a beautiful tower. If Antec would just update this model without changing the aesthetic (cable management, dust filters, easily changeable HDD/SDD slots, easier fan replacements, aftermarket capabilities for 200mm exhaust fan)...
Pros: - Beautiful tower - Keeps things nice and chilly
Cons: - Cable management - Can only use specific 200mm exhaust fan (no aftermarket) - Have to take apart most of the tower just to switch out fans and HDD/SDD's - Color of the inside of tower (completely subjective, prefer black) - No dust filters anywhere (would get quite dusty inside frequently)
