Antec Fusion Remote Max

Metku Mods

  • Conclusion: So then, what's the verdict? The Fusion Remote Max turned out to be a mixed bag, there are so many good things, but then again there are the terrible installation with the cable mess-nightmare and too noisy fans. First of all I really like the outlooks of the case. It isn't easy to fit a full-sized ATX motherboard into a HTPC-case without making it look massive. There are also very clever dust filters that, again, aren't an easy to achieve feature in HTPC-cases.
  • Pros: Enough room for large graphic cards and coolers, Clever dust filters
  • Cons: Fans too loud at low setting, No HDD-cooling with most power supplies

  • Conclusion: I have to say, I am quite impressed with the Antec Fusion Remote Max. This case has very well-built with ample of space for even the largest hardware components. Despite the fact it is designed for HTPC use, I wouldn’t be surprised to find enthusiasts using this case for their gaming machines as well. Since it has plenty of space for all of the high-end components, it would be a perfect system for those who wish to have a single computer for both HTPC and gaming.

  • Summary: As is always the case with products from Antec the build quality of the Fusion Remote Max is top notch. The whole chassis feels very durable and there are no flimsy sections or rough edges on the outside of the case, in fact the front panel looks and feels lovely... if black is something you do not mind. Inside the good build quality continues and each compartment wall has a solid feel to it.

Silent PC
21 November 2008
  • Summary: The Antec Fusion Remote Max was designed to be a full-size thermally and acoustically advanced case for home theater PCs. There are many promising elements: Sturdy construction, good choice of materials, comprehensive airflow cooling design, and many small thoughtful touches that speak to Antec's long history of case design. In short, it is a larger implementation of the Antec's successful Fusion / NSK2400 case mentioned so often in this review.

  • Conclusion: Overall, despite a few issues with the ease of install and the software, we still found ourselves liking the Fusion Remote Max. It allows us to create a powerful media centre/HTPC without cutting any corners and for that reason it wins our Shortlist Award.

  • Excerpt: The Antec Fusion Remote Max is a great HTPC case. It keeps the installed system cool, is all but silent and has an outstanding software package. The fit and finish is very good, and the contrasts on the front panel treatment give the Max a look that is both distinctive and pleasing.

Tech Reviews
24 March 2009
  • Conclusion: Okay it’s quite a large piece of tech to include in your living room, but if you want the very best HTPC which does simply everything, you’re not going to get away with something tiny. Like the saying goes, bigger is better and in terms of this case, it rings true. The Fusion Remote Max boasts great quality and durability. With a sleek brushed aluminium front panel with a flush sitting LCD, it’ll look good in any living room.

Review Antec Fusion Remote Max

Traficantes de Hardware
14 May 2009
