Great product, It didn't like my case

Joyce O., Newegg
25 December 2010
  • Summary: Overall a great idea and a great price. I'm sure it would install easily in most cases.
  • Pros: A great idea, and the only thing like it I could find. The build quality is actually pretty good, it is a good thick plastic. It adds some functionality to one of the spare 3.5" bays in my computer, and looks invisible when closed.
  • Cons: Unusual bolt pattern. I could not fit it in my NXZT Guardian 921 case when I first got it. The tool-less system of this case pushed against the sides too much, preventing the drawer from opening. I had this sitting in my room for a few weeks before I decided to address the problem. I carved a gro...

Changed design

Christopher C., Newegg
8 December 2010
  • Summary: There is another item on newegg that is the same as this for a little more. I bought that item before. It is way higher in quality and worth the extra price. My intention was to buy the other one. I recommend shoppers do the same.
  • Pros: The drawer works.
  • Cons: -Drawer isnt quite black, more of a dark dark grey. -Flimsy. Some cases have quick mount brackets. These put too much pressure on the drawer case and pinch the drawer, making it stick in the rail mount case. -Drawer isnt retained. If you pull it out far enough, the drawer comes clean out.

Drawer in a computer

Jonathan W., Newegg
15 October 2010
  • Summary: See cons
  • Pros: I'm not going to lie, this is the part of my new computer I show off to people who don't understand the other stuff. They love it. This thing is great, works well for light stuff you don't want to lose (like restore discs). you can get it on 4m@z0n with any faceplate you want
  • Cons: I wish, wish, wish someone would make a GOOD one out of aluminum. I would easily pay triple

Thats it.

Trent A., Newegg
21 July 2010
  • Summary: I bought it to put in 2 2.5" drives and it can't do that.
  • Pros: All this is, is a drawer. In the specifications it says or implies that it holds 2x 2.5 inch drives. It doesn't.
  • Cons: There are no holes to let you pass in cords or anything.

Handy!

Tony V., Newegg
6 May 2010
  • Pros: this is great. with the new pc build i knew i'd have a ton of junk leftover that could be useful later. the included dividers let me divvy up the space to organize things; now my spare screws, pci slot covers, cable ties & zips, sli connectors, thumb drives, usb cables and thermal paste all have ...
  • Cons: kinda hard to get lined up with standard securing holes in the 5.25 cage. Plastic, drawer pulls all the way out - remember that so you dont drop it by surprise!. kinda pricey for the quality (not a knock on the quality, but a well built plastic device is still a plastic device)

useful, wish it was metal.

Anonymous, Newegg
3 May 2010
  • Summary: I got an internal USB header, then melted a hole in the back of this thing for an iPod cable. now, i can plug my ipod in and close the drawer and it is always charged and i always know where it is. i think its pretty awesome.
  • Pros: it works. and is useful. has nice pad on the bottom so things that you put inside arent lying directly on the plastic. (perfect for ipod, etc)
  • Cons: materials suck. isnt solid at all. honestly, i would have payed over twce as much to get something that felt solid. maybe some anodized metal or something. iono...

Very useful

Anonymous, Newegg
25 April 2010
  • Summary: At first I didn't think I would really use this when I picked it up from a local computer store. I in fact use it a lot. I have the CD holder in it in the back but still have plenty of room for my extra USB drives that I don't use ( I buy my drives in bulk).
  • Pros: Easy to mount, and use. Pretty strong as well. It comes with 4 different faces to make matching it to your case very easy. Helps keep the easily lost USB drives from getting lost when not in use. Price is very good, I payed a little more for mine buying it at a store but still found it a good pri...
  • Cons: Not so much a con as something I wish they would have included. Out of the 4 face plates they didn't include a black mesh face plate. I'm not going to remove an egg for this.

nifty but cheap

christian k., Newegg
25 April 2010
  • Summary: because its hard to open it makes it that much more hidden. i can easly open it with a knife so it dont bother me. good spot to hide stuff you dont want others to see. ...money, or your collection of lovely ladies, and etc.
  • Pros: *its compleatly hidden in plain site when installed in my antec case. *its a freakin computer Drawer, very unique *only one of its kind from what i seen
  • Cons: *cheap *expencive for the quality *gets stuck often *wont hold a lot of weight *if your wanting a spot to put stuff in your computer you might as well buy a hotswap 5.25 harddrive bay if your going to be opening it alot.
