Summary: This is built on a decently beefy Intel i5 machine with two average 750GB WD drives in RAID 1 for redundancy, 8GB of RAM, ASUS board, and running Windows 7. It's pushing out to 2 out of the 3 provided zero clients (we couldn't find a need for the 3rd one just yet). The master PC and the 2 zero clients under heavy use at the same time and not a hiccup! Performance is better than I thought. I bet adding the 3rd machine won't slow it down a bit either.

Summary: I've had this NComputing system in my classroom for one year. The primary computer works great--the browsers and all sorts of software applications. The workstation created with the NComputing system crash often (The main computer is fine, but the workstations crash.) I've had our tech folks work on the set-up a million times. Here are some of the problems with the whole NComputing system: You can only run one DVD on one workstation--not on any of the other workstations.
Will function PERFECTLY if you read, search and do your work BEFORE buying it

Summary: if you are not planning to install ubuntu on all terminals you will have to perform a fresh install from scratch in the main PC of a Windows Server edition. Please read all user manual before buying it: [...] also, check the VSpace OS Supported Matrix to verify if you are going to use 32-bit/64-bit OS, and if you are going to use Windows XP, Windows 7 or ubuntu in the terminals: [...

Great product - does not work with 64bit computers

Summary: This is a great product that we have deployed at many of our apartment complexes for resident computer labs. They work great and we had virtually no problems. One issue, they have not written the drivers to make this work with a 64 bit operating system. That's a big deal since most machines are running 64 bit processors these days.
Summary: I just received this kit today after super fast shipping and set the kit up on a Windows 7 Ultimate scratch built PC and these things worked great. The included software would not install on Windows 7 but NComputing did have the update in their support section. This is a money saving concept.
Summary: I have had an older model X300 for a couple years, and loved it. Purchased this for Windows 7 because X300 will not work on Windows 7. (Even though one Ncomputing's sales pitches is to upgrade just one CPU, not everything, and save money.) I did not see in any of the product info that it is not 64- bit compliant. Little late to find out after the box is open and the card is in the computer.
Summary: These may work well for some installations, but if you have more then a 5 meters of cat5 cable, they will not come up at all. cat 6 I got about 26 ft. please read the installation and cabling instructions at the website and be sure it will work in your environment. it could save money, or add frustration. Unfortunately for me it was a deal breaker.
Summary: I have installed this numerous time on windows sp1, sp2, sp3....none of which continue to work properly. I have called tech support and get a run-around in their automated system. I have sent numerous e-mails, with a very slow (days and days later) response. Product registration has been an issue and cannot be resolved through any of their departments. Thought this would be a neat product...
