Does What I Need...Eventually.

  • Summary: I had a hell of a time figuring out how to get this thing to work right with Ableton. It comes with a Mackie protocol that automatically maps the controls to the controls in Ableton, but if you use that, you can't customize it. If you put the thing in CC mode, it goes crazy! I assigned the knobs to sends, and they would either turn the sends all the way on or all the way off, and it was backwards.

  • Summary: the function is good.. but the fader level doesn't have default level. So If I change the level of the fader unfortunately, DAW's fader level is changed, too. It's difficult to return the preset level of fader. So 2% need more...

Very nice little Kontroller

  • Summary: I am notoriously hard on equipment and I expect a LOT when I buy a piece of equipment. And I almost gave this one 5 stars. I think this nanoKontrol2 is just fantastic. Even better is the accompanying (downloadable) software. The world of Midi can be a little confusing, but somehow Korg managed to make it all very simple. If you are a first time user, this sucker works right out of the box. If you want to get inside of it, change your midi channels, parameters, etc.
