Summary: I have used this coffee maker for about a little while now and I find the on/off button could have been to the front, as you can forget to shut if off, without realizing the coffee maker is still on. I also think it is a bit pricey for this item.
Summary: I purchased this machine on the recommendation of my local mom and pop coffee roaster (who sells them but could not get them in stock around Christmas) because my old 12-cup drip machine was brewing at about 140f, and because I rarely make more that two or four cups at once.
Summary: I agree with most of the other posters here that this is a fine coffee maker. BUT... it has a major flaw in that the carafe handle design is flawed. It works by a metal strap tight around the neck of the carafe, holding the handle on.
Summary: I bought this as a self serving gift to my girlfriend because of the limited counterspace in her appartment. On that front, it gets full marks, and if the footprint of your coffeemaker is of prime concern, you would be hard pressed to find anything of this quality.
