well designed coffee maker makes great coffee with fewer grounds
5 March 2014
Summary: PROS: My wife and I really like this coffee pot. We are using fewer grounds per brewing and enjoying the flavor more than we did with our last few coffee makers. We can keep a pot most of the day without getting that burnt taste we got from makers w/o an insulated carafe that. Reusable screen filter is easy to clean and better than paper. heats water quickly CONS: to tall to fill while it is on the countertop but under a cabinet.
Summary: I have owned this Zojirushi for almost a decade and it still brews excellent coffee. There have been times, over the past few years, when I shopped around for a new coffee maker. Why? Not sure. Perhaps I felt I needed to “update” this appliance. After spending some time searching and reading reviews I come back to the fact that this Zoji does not need to be replaced. It still works like new. If it ain’t broke, why fix it?
Summary: This coffee maker makes hot coffee that tastes good. The carafe keeps the coffee hot. It has an additional "lid" that fits over the hole through which the coffee drips while brewing. This keeps heat from escaping and keeps the coffee hot. What I don't like: the additional lid makes it impossible to put the carafe back in the coffee maker, so it has to sit on the counter. It is hard to turn the lid to dispense the coffee!
Pros: hot good coffee!
Cons: lid hard to open, can't put the carafe back in place with extra lid, water gauge on one side, noisy
Summary: This maker works well enough and is sleek and appears well made. I was encouraged to buy it because we have a rice cooker by the same brand. great rice cooker! But it just did not seem to keep the coffee hot enough. I would even pre-heat the carafe on occasion to no avail. Seemed less then hot in 45-50 min. I also did not like the thin edges on the carafe screw lid. Makes it very hard to loosen. Only used it for 8-10 times.
Summary: I had Cuisinart DCC-1200 Coffee Maker, Brew Central 12-Cup for around 1 year and one morning it just stopped. I went online to buy the same Cuisinart model and found out that a lot of people have the same problem. I looked at other brands and they have similar quality issues for the some reasons. One year is not good. I then found this Zojirushi with great reviews from almost all reviews found.
Summary: I wanted a coffee maker that i didn't have to keep on the hot plate all day and thought this would be perfect because I had a maker years ago with this concept and the coffee was great. The one I had before had plastic on the outside and a different material inside than this one; this one was all metal, non breakable. The coffee taste bad.. I poured out the coffee and tried it again thinking it was because it was because it was new. Still not good.
