but it is not made to last like the percolators years ago were
5 November 2014
Summary: This coffee percolator may have the West Bend name on it, but it is not made to last like the percolators years ago were. This perolator barely lasted 1 year! I plugged it in one morning and it no longer worked(and I only make 1 pot of coffee per day).
Summary: I tried two of these West Bend coffee percolators and they only lasted about a year. Would not keep the coffee hot. I bought another brand that is much better. I have had this one for more than 2 years
Summary: I ordered this after another product just like the picture broke in a few months. I wanted the percolator pictured, but instead received a percolator that looked nothing like the picture. The one received was very ugly and I had to return it. Not sure how it works because I returned it right away.
Summary: This was my first percolator in years. The coffee is excellent with tap water. However, after 6 months the plastic top broke. You have to be real careful after that. Then the center rod started not seeding in the bottom. This results in colored water.
Summary: This pot has been a real disappointment. I love perked coffee because it taste better and is hotter than drip coffee, however, while the coffee is hot it stops brewing before the coffee is completely brewed. I have tried adding extra coffee and it still looks like colored water.
Summary: really enjoying this coffeemaker, no spill overs like my percolator. Keeps coffee hot for long time after brewing is complete. Westbend/Focus Electrics company has great customer service, too.
