Summary: I have had my Saeco Odea for nearly three and a half years. Initially it was bought from Amazon and shipped to Brunei where I was stationed at the time. It made it through the post and instantly made brilliant coffee. Whilst in Brunei I used it three or four times a day for 18 month and then returned to UK.
Summary: it don't get any better than this, makes great coffee and espresso's don't be afraid to open her up and clean here on a weekly basis, I have read warning about aromiated coffee but so far its all I use
Summary: I bought mine over four years ago and was confused at the range of reviews. Mine has performed flawlessly, with very little cleaning, and it's pretty simple to clean. I wanted either this or the Nescafe, and I went with the Odeo for the capability and freedom of selecting my own beans. Perfect espresso, perfect crema, perfect lattes. Love it!
Summary: We had a Saeco Vienna for about 6 years and were very happy with it. During cleaning, I broke a plastic finger of off the brewing unit, and we decided to get a different machine. We went for a Krups, and what a disaster, the machine was leaking all over after about a weak. We returned it to the store and got another unit, the same leaking after only a few use cycles, and we went for another replacement. This one lasted about three months before it stated to leak.
Summary: I've had this machine for a year now and have been very pleased with it so far. The design and footprint are great, and the dial adjustment for quantity is easy and intuitive. I have had zero problems with this machine so far. I follow the cleaning instructions, and it works like a charm. The only complaint I would have is the volume of water container is a bit small, but that is part of the small footprint I desire, so not a big deal really.
Summary: The price point made me apprehensive at first, but let me tell you, this machine has improved my quality of life 10 fold. I am probably the most miserly SOB you will ever meet, and yikes, the price is steep, but you will actually be saving a ton of money because the espresso this machine is able to make is much better than Starbucks.
Summary: I have purchased 4 units so far. One for home and 3 for at work. The units at work are used for about an average of 30- 60 cups a day. One unit lasted 2 years. One unit lasted 1 year. My home unit I've had for 4 years now. One is on the way. Do the math. Hell... I've never even run cleaner through them at work (we use distilled water from a commercial evaporative system). If you clean the mechanical side once a week, they keep going.
