Summary: I was contemplating on buying a Rancilio Silvia for a lot more money. I am glad I did not. The Saeco Aroma holds it's own, even with the pressurized filter. I was experimenting with different coffees, and for me the Illy dark roast ground espresso makes a fantastic crema. But you can go fancy and upgrade for $40, to a no pressurized filter and buy your own burr grinder.
Summary: I am not a coffee aficionado however I do love good espresso. I have had the Saeco Aroma machine for 2 months now. My main criticism regards the milk steamer wand with panerello. Because of the configuration and compact size of the machine, the panerello is very awkward to use. To fit a pitcher of milk under it and remove it without spilling I set the machine at the edge of a table with the wand overhanging.
Summary: Great cup of espresso! All 4 of them before it stopped heating and simply died. Had to wait a week during Xmas before could figure out who so send it to for a return, Still waiting to see if we are going to get a replacement as SAECO is out of stock.
Summary: I did a lot of research before committing the funds to buy this machine and I have not been disappointed. This is a high quality machine and the customer service has been excellent when I had questions. I make 6 shots of espresso per day and this machine feels like it will last a long time.
Summary: This was a machine that I have been wishing for over 1 year but did not purchase it because it was much too expensive for my budjet but I received it as a Christmas gift from my wife. I have had espresso at all the well known coffee shops in the US and also around Europe. I have to say that this machine makes as good or better than any I have ever had and is very user friendly and simple too use.
Summary: This machine works great, it is heavy duty metal case and does delicious creamy espresso. This machine does not leak like the gaggia I tryed before and for the price it is far the best I used. If you get it from Amazon you will get the best service ever! The water tank on the back is removable to fill and clean, the water retention tank for the coffee drops below is also removable, easy to clean, big enough and of very good quality.
No bells and whistles; just makes consistently great espresso.

Summary: I considered buying a better-looking Saeco machine then realized I would be paying $400 for the same functionality as this $150 Saeco model. This is a great little espresso maker...consistent, easy to use, easy to clean. Makes a nice double shot in about 15 seconds, comes out in a perfect thin stream just as it should. Beautiful crema. Reheats very quickly after brewing and steaming.
