Summary: I've owned this machine for about 18 months and am really, really sorry I bought this machine. It has had to be repaired twice, once under warranty and of course the second time at 13 months after the warranty expired both were electronic failures of the computer's main motherboard. The second repair was at my cost and was more than half the original purchase price of the unit. So let's say that my machine has not had two malfunctions in the first 18 months of use?

Summary: I bought the machine one year ago (2013) and the coffe was good. After one year the coffee started to taste burned and sour and it seems it was a problem of the software. After I sent the machine 3 times for service to Philips, the came back to me and told me that they can't do anything and neither will replace the machine or return my money. I am now under legal fights.
Annoying, overpriced machine that makes decent coffee.

Summary: When I purchased this machine, I found a refurbished model $350. Currently the list price on Amazon is between $8-900. At that price it would be a 1-2 star machine. I am writing this while the machine is downstairs descaling. It has been descaling for the last 30 minutes because it lacks an auto descale cycle that you will find in other models such as DeLonghi.
Summary: Machine is owned by a friend and I would give it 3 - 4 stars. This prompted me ordering one from Prime deals that was advertised as Factory refurbished by Phillips. Prime deal exhibited Terrible customer service. I am currently working on 2 months and many hours in attempt to resolve issues, This is the first negative review I have posted in over a decade of Amazon purchases, also the first issue I have had with customer service in that time period.
Summary: We bought this device as a replacement for a "full bells and whistles" machine we bought in Europe and used in Australia. The voltage thing killed us and we didn't have enough budget to fully replace it. To be honest I prefer spending the 3 minutes it takes to build my own Latte and am even trying to do the foam art... to mixed successes. This machine is solid.
Summary: This is my second Saeco. First one lasted eight years and I was very satisfied with it. It recently developed a leak which was difficult to repair so I decided to buy a new one. Big mistake. New machine is either a manufacturing defect or just very poorly designed.
