Summary: Turned on the machine and the display looks like a snowy tv screen...unreadable. Called Philips and they said send them an email, they will send a return authorization and label then it will take 4-8 weeks to fix the machine and return it to me. During this time...no coffee. Sent the email yesterday morning and didn't hear back as of 6pm tonight (Friday). Called again and they said it takes three days to generate the return and label. Well..
Summary: The hopper seems to jam up pretty often--even using dry beans--because of the safety device they've added (a little dome with holes in it). Consequently, about every 3 or 4 cups it will think it has filled the chamber with enough coffee when it hasn't, giving you weaker-than-green-tea coffee. So, AT YOUR OWN RISK, read the following......
Summary: The espresso is ok. Its not great, just OK. The bean hopper is really not working. I quit trying to use the grinder because it consistently made the coffee too weak because not enough beans get ground.. See other reviews. I should have listened. I ground my own and it turns out OK, not 400 worth of fantastic, just OK.
Reading other reviews it looks like that the same thing happened to other customers

Summary: Bought the machine and after 3 weeks stopped working (the display went blank!). Called Philips, they asked to send email; took 5 days to call me back. I was told it may take 4 weeks to get it back. I had before Saeco Incanto Sirus for 10 years, and it was working well, but this model has apparently flawed design. Reading other reviews it looks like that the same thing happened to other customers. I would not buy this model again.
Summary: We love our coffee, and this was our first bean-to-cup coffee machine. We loved the simplicity and ease of use. However, we've now gone through two of them - the first lasted 10 months and the second just over a year. Despite weekly cleaning and regular descaling, and only ever using filtered water, the machine just ground (no pun intended!) to a halt. Error seems to be something to do with the grinder and when I switch it on it can clean itself and froth milk.
Summary: We purchased this machine in the summer of 2013 when our old bean to cup machine (a De Longhi) packed up. Set-up is easy and it's an intuitive machine to use and the unit looks quite smart. Making coffee is easy and the LED panel is clear. So, from the coffee-making perspective it's all good. On to the niggles: first, the water tank is a bit too small so you are filling it more often than is ideal.
Summary: I purchased the Philips Saeco Intelia Focus HD8751/88 in late December 2012, it arrived promptly and and was making great tasting coffee to begin with. I started to experience problems within a a few months when the display on the machine stopped working. I contacted Philips who arranged for the unit to be collected and repaired - I was told it would take upto 7 days yet the machine wasn't returned for over 3 weeks.
Summary: It doesn't produce good coffee at all. I try different coffee bean and ground coffee. It just doesn't bring out the coffee flavor. My old Breville machine which cost about half the price had a lot better coffee. A very cheap machine with all plastic components.
