Summary: Classic Espresso maker. We just gave this one as an Xmas gift, and the recipient wrote that "This is a life changing experience." It's the easiest espresso maker to use, and the pods from Nespresso (especially #9 Apeggio) are beyond awesome in their flavor and roast. We can't imagine living without this. We would throw out the washing machine and dryer before we'd give up our C101 Nespresso. This is it. It will change your life forever.
Summary: We love it, the espresso is really good and consistent. We used to have a regular espresso machine but it was so messy we ended up not using it much. If you like strong coffee and have a hectic life this is very convenient. We are using Roma and Arpegio coffee pods which cost about 13$ for 10 pods, but I had only found it on internet. I have seen keurig pods in the supermarket in a wider variety so cost-wise probably is better to get a Keurig machine than this one.
Summary: After reading the reviews, I couldn't order the Nespresso quickly enough. I waited giddily for it to arrived and did a dance when it did. That, however, was short-lived. The machine comes with a 16 pack of sample pods, which is actually very cool so you can see what types of expresso you like best. Before I even reached the end of the sample pod pack, the machine began misbehaving.
Summary: I have had this machine for six years and love it. I even take it with me when I go on a ten-week summer vacation. So I purchased a second one for my office, when it was on a special sale. Same great coffee, but it is exceptionally loud and water drips out of it when I lift the top. Seems more cheaply made than the original. I do like the automatic turnoff feature, which is not on my older machine. They look identical.
