Best Coffee maker with several shortcomings on durability
3 January 2014
Summary: Love the product! Bought this on E-bay as an exact replacement for one I had previously purchased. Makes the best single carafe of coffee anywhere. Secret is steam producing higher temperatures to get the best coffee flavor without burning. Never tried to use the steamer for steaming milk. Replaced my original as I damaged the pressure safety relief by using too much finely ground coffee. This caused the internal pressure to go higher than normal.
Summary: I purchased this product to replace an old machine. I am quite pleased with my purchase. The machine is very easy to use, takes up a minimal amount of counter space, and is not difficult to clean. I did have to replace the carafe after the first week. I was attempting to clean it, the lid slipped down into the carafe and when I went to pull it out, it shattered.
Summary: I love the way this looks. Very cool. And it makes good coffee. I suspect that the element intended to heat up milk is not working properly since the heat does not seem to make it all the way to the milk, and when it does, with little force. A bit disappointed in this aspect.
Summary: I had to buy this machine because someone gift me the same machine and a few days after the handle was broken and the glass cup unusable. Now for $20.00 I want to use properly my coffee maker but really I consider my first machine was too bad. I recommend to buy a better machine, it is a cheap toy.
Summary: Never had one. Don't know what to expect, but I like it. My daughter and I stared at it for a while waiting for it to work, but once it heated up, everything was fine. We had a milk volcano the first time because I didn't realize the milk would froth up as much as it did, but it was funny, we laughed.
