Summary: We have had the CM5200 for almost 2 years, and it has worked reliably. I did not want to spend over $2K on a coffee maker, but my wife wanted it... and over the time we have had it, I have gotten quite comfortable with it, and now I think it was a good decision. That being said, we use the machine in a much more limited (and perhaps unusual) way than most folks for making lattes. I like making lattes with almond milk, chia seed, and baking chocolate (100% cocoa powder).
Summary: WOW, This spaceship of coffee machines, 2500$, but worth it. Lets say 2500$ is a lot of money, this is Luxury of Coffee machine at home. If you want to get the best get it. Otherwise Jura for 1000$ will make you same coffee. I heard that this machine is Miele outside, but still inside Swiss made Jura. Worth or not? hard to say- I love it.
Summary: Had one of these for just over a year. The coffee is inconsistent from the same beans and it has now broken down. So far it is over 4 weeks after being sent in for repair and I get nothing but promises that it will be back by X day and it doesn't arrive.
Summary: Definitely the worst coffee machine that I have ever owned! Actually, it makes good coffee, but it is a nightmare to manage. On many occasions I have been half way through making coffee for guests, when the warning light comes on "Clean Brew Unit". It means NOW, Stop everything, spend the next 10 minutes filling, rinsing, dropping a tablet in, rinsing more, etc... When a decalcification cycle is required, there is at least a countdown which is also very annoying.
Summary: I own several Miele household products. The coffee machine is a big disappointment especially considering the $2500 spent on it. I've owned the 5200 for 5 months. The espresso is weak even at the finest grind. (I even took it in for service after several cups because I thought something was wrong. They could find nothing wrong with it.) it consumes significant more beans than a stove top espresso maker.
Summary: we have had this for about 9 months - so far it is great. Expensive but worth it especially if you like milk added drinks a few comments in re the other reviews oily beans are stick and will not always fall into the grinder causing the "out of beans" error message. you will have to push them into the hopper with your finger once a day you have to rinse the machine after each session with milk or it will clog in short order.
Summary: Next day machine stopped working. It shows message "fill the coffee bean container" and it doesn`t make any coffee. Nothing helping. Randomly shows some errors. It looks like the grounder is not working. Have the same issue as the previous 1* review - that means the engineering mistake, not a single case. Here they are the other issues: 1. Obsolete display: Uncomfortable display and navigation menu. It is a very painful to setup even the simple functions such as timer.
Excerpt: This is a wonderful coffee/espresso machine. It makes delicious coffee and coffee beverages. It lets you customize the strength, temperature and size of you our beverages with is quite useful and convenient (I can use cups and mugs I already have). It also is very easy and intuitive to operate. It doesnu2019t have u201csophisticatedu201d displays that often are a reason of machine failure (see Jura reviews).I have it for over 6 months and enjoy it every morning.
