Decent coffee, good looks, but...

Summary: Well, this is a relatively good-looking coffee maker. We bought it for the thermos (energy-friendly) and the stainless steel look. Unfortunately, there are a few things that bother me. First, you have to be VERY careful when pouring the water down the reservoir. If you're not careful, you'll spill into the filter compartment and will have to clean up the mess that drips out. Also, the lid gets in the way when you're pouring the last bit of water into the reservoir.
Summary: This is a good looking, no frills, filter coffee machine. My day starts with two mugs of strong black coffee, and I prefer a thermal jug to the heated glass jugs which I find rapidly stews the coffee. This thermal jug has a steel lining but still keeps the coffee hot for an hour or so. It replaces the second of my John Lewis machines which again broke down shortly after the guarantee ran out.
Summary: Jug was broken very early. replacement broken in 3 weeks despite following care instructions. disappointing product from such a good maker. Stop press: i have since been contacted by Melitta directly and they have been excellent! Faith restored!
This is a very good coffee maker,no timer, just a swirch for on - and auto switch off..

Summary: My previous coffee maker was a Krups - it blew a hole in it's bottom and water leaked out. This one is a better proposition. Once made, the coffee stays hot for a long time. It has an insulated jug and provides a very good cup of coffee. A very good machine, a little more expensive than some others, but well worth the extra.
Summary: This was bought as a replacement to a filter machine that I had been using for a number of years from another manufacturer and I am truly impressed by it. I work from home a lot and will typically put on a pot of coffee in the morning and drink it though the day. The thermal jug on this machine works a treat and even after 4-5 hours the coffee is still good and hot (and not getting stewed as happens with hotplate machines).
