Summary: Excellent machine, I use it almost every other day and it has been working excellent for almost 4 years now. The only issue I have is that sometimes there can be residual coffee left in the ground coffee shaft and it becomes moldy due to the moisture that rises from the brewer. Otherwise it is making great coffee and as long as its maintained it works well. I do clean it regularly with the nozzle solution and the cleaning tabs.
Summary: I have had my Krups XP9000 for 3 years and have made thousands of cups of coffee, espresso, and cappacino drinks without even 1 problem. I do the cleaning when prompted and fill with water and beans when prompted. That's it! The quality of the drinks is exceptional- as is the product.
Summary: We have owned the XP9000 for 15 months. My wife was a Barista in her student days and likes a very strong cappuccino, she initially gave it (at its best) 4 / 5 for coffees and 3.5 / 5 for cappuccinos. After a few months the steamer began to degrade so we had to constant extend the steamer timer until eventually the cappuccinos became diluted coffees. After a year normal coffees became weak. We serviced it more often that the manual states but It got us nowhere.
3 1/2 years 1st rate machine... sadly the krups after sales is poor.

Summary: As per title, spent 3 1/2 years with my 9000, used daily, sometimes more. Has been great until now, it's developed a problem with one of the connectors near the boiler, essentially the plastic has become brittle and cracked. I'm not going to gripe over the breakage. Considering the amount of use it's had im more than happy - I just wish Krups had some decent service capability in Aus. For those contemplating buying one there's a few known faults with these units: 1.
Summary: The design found in this unit would be pretty appalling in a unit half this price, but for such an expensive unit it's unforgivable. It has an unmistakable flimsiness, minimal reliability and you'll be lucky to get much more than the warranty period of two years out of it. After ingredients, cleaning supplies, etc., many would be better off just buying their coffee from a coffee shop, or better yet, buying a brand that is less rubbish.
Summary: I have had this Krups XP9000 for about 18 months. Up until now it made me very happy. The espresso is the very best. Please note I absolutely hate the taste of the espresso at Starbarks and most coffee other coffee shops. The machine is easy to use. I always used good fresh beans, followed the the care instructions to a T and used filtered water 100% of the time. On most days I used it thee to five times. A few months ago it started leaking from the bottom.
Summary: The machine made decent coffee for about 2 years. After a certain period Krups espresso machines require mandatory service and will stop working. I sent my working machine to Krups which had technically nothing wrong with it to service center in Downers Grove, Illinois. I was charged $220 for the service. The machine arrived not working. After contacting Krups again I found out that that the service center is now out of business.
Summary: After my last super auto, a Saeco, failed for the umpteenth time I purchased the XP9000 in July of 09. Over time it has become accepted but... For a machine the size of this one larger reservoirs, water, bean, and drip tray / puck bin might have been considered. The Saeco spoiled us with its onboard water connection. Both the Saeco and the Juro which preceded it had larger bean hoppers and while I do not know for sure, I think they both had larger drip trays as well.
Summary: We have had our machine for about a month and it is just great! The only problem is that I want latte's all the time now! I can't wait to get up in the morning to have one!! Just the press of the button and it's ready! I think the krups machine is as good or better than any of the more expensive ones at sur la table or Williams Sonoma! A best buy for sure! Great investment!
Summary: We purchased this machine about 3 months ago and have really enjoyed it. You cannot beat the price. We got it at a steal for $499 from Rue La La, but even Amazon's price is a steal. Comparable super automatics from saeco and others cost WAY more $$. It is so easy to use and has been virtually worry-free. Yes, it occasionally thinks the coffee beans are empty, but a quick stir with your finger always corrects the problem.
