Summary: Surprisingly a good item. We have been pleased with the functionality and quality, so far. (We have only had it for a little over 2 weeks and have not had any of the issues mentioned by other reviewers) We love the fact we can program the coffer maker to start brewing at 6AM or anytime we want. The expresso maker is wonderful. However, frothing milk for a latte can be improved. (not sure if its a user error) I can't get the milk to froth properly but it is nice and hot.
Summary: I SPENT QUITE SOME TIME LOOKING FOR A GOOD COFFEE AND ESPRESSO MACHINE FOR UNDER $200. I READ ALL THE REVIEW AND DECEIDED ON THE KRUPS XP2070 AND AM VERY PLEASED. IT MAKES GREAT COFFEE QUICKLY AND ESPRESSO TOOK SOME TIME TO LEARN HOW TO USE BUT VERY PLEASED. I HAVE HAD THE UNIT FOR ABOUT TWO MONTHS AND HAVE HAD NO PROBLEMS.
Summary: The results from this espresso machine are consistently excellent. I love the taste and creama from it. Because it is automatic, however, you must be consistent in your grinding and tamping. If you are using a chopping blade cutter/grinder, invest in a mill that grinds consistently. The tamper provided, is useless but will give a bit of time to get a proper one.
Summary: Well, I have to say being addicted to coffee heheh, this is a really good machine for making lattes, mochas and cappuccinos for what they are worth. I will say the only drawback I have found using this machine daily like twice a day is the pressure of the pump isnt strong enough to really get that rich flavor out in the coffee when its being brewed. Overall on a rating of 1-5 and 5 being the best I would give this machine a 4.
Summary: This machine is fantastic IF IF IF you do not get a lemon. I lucked out. There is absolutely nothing wrong with my machine and it makes incredible espresso and as promised, "perfect" froth every time. I wouldhave paid the the $350 that this machine sells for but luckily I didn't have to. I will tell you that my Dad has this same machine and his has a water leak that some people have complained about.
Summary: I got it for the holidays and it took a while to figure it out (I did read the manual). I thought it was broken at first because the manual didn't say it was going to take 10 minutes to do a diagnostic on the espresso maker. After that, it was simple to use. I really like the flexible, detachable steamer nipple. It makes it very easy to clean. Unlike cheaper espresso makers, the pressure for the espresso maker is completely internalized.
Summary: This is a very good coffe maker. The only thing thats bad about it is the pot that comes with it. You have to poor the coffee out very slowly or it will drip out the sides of the pot onto the floor or counter. It is a bad pot design.
Summary: I was and still am deeply suspicious of these combo units, but this one has been a pleasant surprise. All of the basic functions work admirably and it does a wonderful job of frothing even low fat milk. The espresso maker is a little less forgiving of your tamping skills than other machines I've used, but when you get it right the crema is beautiful. I have only had this for 3 months, so I can't vouch for longevity of the machine, but it seems to be sturdy and well made.
