Summary: The Krups coffeemaker is a nice machine but all its attachments are very cheap - the coffee pot is very cheap the lid doesn't fit correctly it is very poor quality which I did not expect for the price. I like the coffee the machine makes. I enjoy espresso so I like that feature but wish it made slightly larger quantities (very small amounts made and can only fit a tiny cup under the espresso maker).
Summary: I like this as a combo unit so it takes up less space. However, the coffee pot at 10 cups is on the small side compared to my Pro-Aroma at 12. I also do not like the timer function. It is not as easy as just pressing the button to enable the timer to have coffee already brewing when I wake up in the morning. You need to go through several step walking through the entire process of setting the time for the coffee maker to turn itself on and its a badly engineered system.
Summary: I've had one for just about 13 months. the coffed side makes very good coffee, but the coffee maker is very very slow....... The espresso machine makes good espresso, but takes a long time to warm up each time you make a shot. then, you never know how much is going to come out, one shot, less, or one and a half. Also, i guess it was the espresso tank on our began to leak and we started getting much less than a shot with clear water in the drip through tray.
Summary: We purchased this maker as I was initally drawn to the programmable feature for the coffee and the dual function appeared useful. First the good points: Excellent expresso, good crema. The bad points: If I had realised the huffing and puffing and hissing in order to heat up/cool down for the milk frother, I would not have picked this model. A simple knob to turn steam off/on would have suited me. This fills the drip tray up really quickly.
Summary: We put this on our registry and were thrilled to get it. I LOVED it for the 2 months we owned it. Then it decided that it just didn't want to flow anything from the espresso side. I thought surely it can't be clogged already. So i descaled. Still - nothing would flow. The water just came out the bottom. I was so mad!! 2 months of WONDERFUL lattes and then nothing. So i packed it up and returned it today.
Summary: This machine does great expresso and good coffe but don't buy it if you like cappuccino. The frohing tip comes of EVERY time I use it. Other than that it is a very good machine once you get use to it. Also it looks great.
Summary: Good, but not great, January 26, 2007 I got this last night as a wedding gift and was very excited to set it up. After 2 readings of the manual, I still was confused. Furthermore, after completing the steps in the manual, I was met with flashing blue lights telling me that espresso function was not possible and unable to program the cup size. Before assigning blame to me, consider I gave a graduate level education and apt at reading English.

Summary: First of all, great tasting coffee, great latte's - which rival my faves at Starbucks. However, I found the instructions to be really hard to follow. The machine is not very intuitive so you really have to read and re-read the instructions to get things to work correctly. The biggest drawback that I have found is that it's not too easy to set it in wake-up mode (maybe the button doesn't work properly on mine) and it comes with a sort of alarm bell to let you know that it...
