Summary: I've had three other grind and brew machines before Krups, and this Krups machine has them beat hands down. I had a Cuisinart Grind & Brew for about 4 years before it died. I loved the fresh ground beans and it made a great cup of coffee. Trouble was, the steam would get into the grinding chamber and chute and the residual grounds would get all gummy and jam up the machine. Cleaning was a pain and after four years, I was pretty much done with Cuisinart.
Summary: We replaced our previous auto-grind coffee maker with this one. Our $300 CoffeeTEAM Therm (Model #455) by Capresso just couldn't make strong coffee. We had taken to pre-grinding half a filter's worth just to get drinkable coffee. What an expensive lesson that was. We've had the Krups KM7005 for a month now and what a difference! Set at "Medium" strength we get a very nice full-flavored cup without any additional work required.
Summary: so far great machine to grind fresh coffee beans and brew in the same machine.i was tired of expesive kcups and useing a seperate grinder for my beans so far so good a touch noisey but i can live with that easy to clean also.
Summary: The grinder on this is great and not too loud. It uses paper or re-usable filter, so it's easy to set up the next batch without a bunch of complicated cleaning. It makes great coffee because it heats the water to the optimum brewing temperature. Most coffee makers don't do that. The cuisinart coffee was practically cold when it came out. If you use dark roast, you have to clean the oils out the grinder every so often or the coffee will not come out.
Summary: After my fifth Cuisinart Grind and Brew Coffee maker (3 different models) stopped functioning I decided on choosing a different brand. There were no reviews so I crossed my fingers and hoped that Krups worked out the kinks with this new model. I had to wait 2 months for the coffee maker as it was ordered before it was released and I am so happy to say that the 2 month wait was MORE THEN worth it!!
Perhaps the best...? IT IS THE BEST AFTER 5 YEARS!!!

Summary: I drink a lot of coffee a pot a day two pots a day on the weekend. I'm a stickler for quality and taste, I'm a former Starbucks Batista, store manager and Coffee Master with a sip of coffee I can tell you the region of the coffee and perhaps how the coffee was processed and how long it was roasted.
Summary: Absolutely the best coffepot ever! Bought this upon recommendation of another owner and he was right. This replaced my Melitta Smart brew which made good coffee til the weatherstation suddenly died and the lid would not open to put coffee in. That replaced a Cuisinart Grind and Brew which made OK coffee but would occasionally overflow and spill coffee all over the counter in the morning.
