Makes good coffee, but also makes a mess

DEJ, Amazon
21 December 2012
  • Summary: I bought the Krups KM7000 through Amazon.com and have had it for a few days. This is my first grind and brew machine, so I cannot compare against other grind-and-brew machines. Although, I've owned a stand-alone blade grinder and a typical drip coffee maker for a long time.

Great While it Lasted

LoN, Amazon
29 November 2012
  • Summary: This was the best coffee maker until it began leaking a year after purchasing. This coffee maker allows you to make coffee to your liking based on settings for brew strength and grind size. I'd purchase another to save me from using a separate grinder if it didn't break so soon.

Beware...Krups provides VERY poor customer service

B. Lee, Amazon
16 February 2010
  • Summary: I have had this coffee maker for just under a year, and would characterize my usage as 'light' (once a weekend)... It makes great coffee, but is poorly constructed. When pulling the carafe out to pour a cup of coffee recently, the metal band holding the handle to the carafe came loose causing the...

  • Summary: This is our 2nd Krups Grind and Brew. Our first one ended up breaking twice - first time was under warranty so we got it fixed but the second time it wasn't under warranty so we just decided to get another one.

Amazing, until it breaks

Jason, Amazon

  • Summary: I've owned this baby for 11 months. Here's the rundown: Pros: - Great tasting coffee, if you buy the gold filter. Not as good without it - Grinds really well, and is not overly loud - Very easy to clean Cons: - Broke after 11 months. The grinds don't make it all the way to the basket.

  • Summary: The krups coffee maker with burr grinder performed perfectly for one month. The coffee maker made a perfect pot of coffee. It was easy to use and I loved it. One morning the coffee ground and the water did not go throught the pot. I hope this was not normal for this machine. I loved it.

Good Cup of Coffee........ But Buyer Beware (5 Stars on Making Coffee, 3 Stars on Machine)

William J. Richards, Amazon
28 May 2009
  • Summary: First off this coffee pot makes a wonderful cup of coffee. I have had a Cuisinart gring and brew for years. Finally when mine went out (after about 4 years of use) I decided to look for another grind / brew coffee pot.

Not reliable

  • Summary: We love the taste of the coffee that this machine brews but you definitely need to keep your warranty. After about one year the machine would no longer brew a cup of coffee. The problem seemed to be electrical although it would still grind.
