Summary: I was initially excited by this product as it seemed to work pretty well even with the flaws that others have noted in their reviews. We had been through two Capresso Coffee Team grind and brew models that lasted 4 years and 1.5 years respectively, so I thought that an equally reputable manufacturer...
Summary: Best coffee I've ever made at home! It looks great, it's quiet and makes wonderful coffee. It stopped cycling water after 6 months use. Of all the things that could go wrong with a machine like this, the water stopped cycling?!?! I will miss it, but I will not buy another Krups!!
Summary: Bought in April 2008 and have used it daily since its arrival. Also invested in a washable Gold mesh filter that was the correct part number to match the unit. I am very satisfied with the maker. It is easy to wash and prepare for the next use.
Summary: The grinder failed after a few weeks. The instructions say not to grind "oily beans". My Capresso (also a burr grind-and-brew) worked for 6 years with the same kind of beans, and the grinder still worked fine when the heating element failed.
Summary: I have had nothing but good luck with my Krups KM 7000. I have not had any problems with leaking or coffee grounds left on my counter. I highly recommend this coffee maker. I have previously owned a Cuisinart Grind & Brew, it was extremely hard to clean. The Krups is easy to clean.
Summary: As one might guess we are sitting here with a malfunctioning KM7000 two months after an Amazon purchase... outside Amazon's return policy but within Krups warranty. Krups providing lip service thus far instead of repair or replacement.
Summary: This "deluxe" coffee maker is a complete dud. Does not grind beans well, requires paper filters and the unit I received had a major leak. Every time I poured water into the machine, I had had water leaking out all over my counter. Also, the unit is very complicated to use.
Summary: Easy to use, after you read the instructions. Makes great coffee. This is by far the best coffee maker I have ever used. The only negative thing I could say is that the grinder gets a small amount of coffee grounds on the counter and the outside of the machine.
Summary: When our old Cuisinart Grind and Brew bit the dust (the unit would go dead many times during a brewing cycle and need a restart), I researched the options. Conical burr grinder, many options for brew strengths and quality, etc., convinced me to buy one despite some of the negative reviews.
