Summary: First dislike: does not turn itself off after time, can burn pot Second: does not come with "gold filter", requires paPER FILTERS Third: after sale "gold filter does not truly fit the pot, i cannot swing closed after grinding without manual help.
Summary: I am not a coffee drinker but a year ago I decided to get my husband some type of "grind & brew" for Christmas. I had no idea where to start so I came to Amazon and read the reviews on Krups. When the site asked "were these reviews helpful" I thought, absolutely not! It seemed that it was 50/50 on great to horrid. I finally decided to give the Krups a go and I am so thankful that I did.
Summary: My wife and I have used the Krups KM7000 series coffee maker for over a year now and we're both very particular about how our coffee is prepared. This particular maker allows us to prepare the perfect cup every time. Maintenance is key; keep the duo filter changed out as recommended and you will experience the best cup of coffee each and every morning.
Summary: It's so nice to get up in the morning and push one button and get 10 cups of freshly ground coffee.A great selection of options to make the perfect cup of coffee for you.My wife and I love this coffee maker.
Summary: Sadly I have to purchase another one of these because my ex got my first one in the divorce (seriously!) Love... The selectable grind levels, easy clean (in comparison to other auto grind machines), the bean hopper, ability to make a small pot or large pot, the water filter, timer... etc. Only complaint is that you do have to wipe up a few grounds of coffee when it's finished, but I wipe off my counter every morning anyways... So this is not a big deal.
Summary: It says "Krups" so you think you are buying German Quality, built like iron. Not. It's made in China. Thin Plastic and no real quality feel. It's a little complicated to set up. It's messy. It drips condensation from some unusual spots and the grinder sprays a small amount of grounds out onto the counter. I'm nit picking. Oh, by the way, IT MAKES THE BEST COFFEE I'VE HAD IN YEARS.
Summary: We recently purchased the Krups KM7000 coffee grinder/maker and could not be happier. We have had 3 Cuisinart units over the past 6 years. It has been about two years since we last purchased one so I started looking for a new replacement. "It appears that the Cuisinart's are only good for a couple years" We really wanted to find something better and easier to use since we make coffee every morning. We were tired of the daily cleaning and taking the Cuisinart apart.
Summary: I was a long time Cuisinart user so I was scared to switch but, now,I am delighted. It makes the best coffee in the whole wide world. The only down side it that it is complicated. I always miss steps like opening the lid for the grinding process. Cuisinart is much easier. Also, Cuisinart parts are easier to clean but this coffee is amazing. I am happy. Thanks!
Summary: When it works properly, which unfortunately is a rare event, it makes great coffee. The first unit we purchased had issues with the grinder. It did not grind the right amount of coffee for the number of cups selected. We returned that and were sent a new one. That one worked great for awhile. But then the instrument panel went dead. It's an electronic display, so you could not see any of the settings (like # cups, brew strength, etc.).
Summary: There was a wbsite that linked to a way to fix the item. It was basically some engineer who spent a few months cobbling something together in a way no normal customer could.
Pros: When it worked: It had many settings to choose from aroma, grind size, cup amount, strength, or when to brew. The conical burr was fantastic and the coffee was easy to get to a level the drinker would like. It was easy to operate.
Cons: Too much plastic. The lid on the carafe broke just buy lifting it to dump out excess coffee. The spoke caught and the weight snapped it. Its garbage. The main reason to not buy this: The heating element goes on these units just AFTER the warranty is up. If you google this product, you will see that many people have had the element go at 13+ months on a 12 month warranty. Most also complain that the company's customer service is...far from helpful or understanding. Pre...
