Summary: This was the best coffee maker until it began leaking a year after purchasing. This coffee maker allows you to make coffee to your liking based on settings for brew strength and grind size. I'd purchase another to save me from using a separate grinder if it didn't break so soon.
Summary: Absolutely the best coffepot ever! Bought this upon recommendation of another owner and he was right. This replaced my Melitta Smart brew which made good coffee til the weatherstation suddenly died and the lid would not open to put coffee in.
Summary: This coffee maker with the coffee bean grinder makes excellent coffee! We were grinding our coffee and using a press before we purchased this machine. It took a lot of our time to get a good cup of coffee.
Summary: It is hands-down the best coffee maker I've had. But my first one broke after 12 months. It stopped heating the water. My second one broke after 18 months. It stopped grinding. Both have been replaced for free because I bought the ~$20 extended warranty. Highly recommended for this unit.
Summary: I've had this coffee maker for over four months now and absolutely love it. There are very few coffee makers with a built in grinder and after much research decided that this was the best bet - and glad I did. A few comments for those using this/considering it: - Read the manual, and take your time.
Best cup of coffee I have had, but very unreliable quality
1 September 2011
Summary: To start with, this makes the best cup of coffee of any coffee maker I have ever owned. The downside is that it is very unreliable in the long term. So far I have purchased one unit where the grinder quit working and one where it just would not brew the coffee.
Summary: First dislike: does not turn itself off after time, can burn pot Second: does not come with "gold filter", requires paPER FILTERS Third: after sale "gold filter does not truly fit the pot, i cannot swing closed after grinding without manual help.
Summary: I am not a coffee drinker but a year ago I decided to get my husband some type of "grind & brew" for Christmas. I had no idea where to start so I came to Amazon and read the reviews on Krups. When the site asked "were these reviews helpful" I thought, absolutely not!
