Great product!

Cyn, Amazon
21 January 2014
  • Summary: I've had three other grind and brew machines before Krups, and this Krups machine has them beat hands down. I had a Cuisinart Grind & Brew for about 4 years before it died. I loved the fresh ground beans and it made a great cup of coffee. Trouble was, the steam would get into the grinding chamber and chute and the residual grounds would get all gummy and jam up the machine. Cleaning was a pain and after four years, I was pretty much done with Cuisinart.

  • Summary: Outstanding coffee. We had our first one break-twice-but Krups sent out a new one each time without any hassle and it has been going strong for a long time now.

3rd time's the charm?

Patricia, Amazon

  • Summary: Remember when appliances lasted 25-30 years, and you finally got rid of them just to get a newer model that had more features, looked better or because you had remodeled your kitchen? Well, I'm sure you realize by now that refrigerators, stoves, dishwashers and microwaves all have much shorter lives than they used to. Coffeemakers also seem pretty short-lived nowadays, as I can testify to. I have recently purchased my third Krups Grind and Brew.

Good strong coffee!

Stuart and Lisa Smith, Amazon
6 July 2013
  • Summary: We replaced our previous auto-grind coffee maker with this one. Our $300 CoffeeTEAM Therm (Model #455) by Capresso just couldn't make strong coffee. We had taken to pre-grinding half a filter's worth just to get drinkable coffee. What an expensive lesson that was. We've had the Krups KM7005 for a month now and what a difference! Set at "Medium" strength we get a very nice full-flavored cup without any additional work required.

Well worth the buy, but add a 3 year warrantee for piece of mind,

  • Summary: So far, so good! This baby makes a delicious cup 'o joe. It took us a few pots to get all the variables to our liking. We initially felt the coffee was too strong, even on the lightest strength setting. We found that it's perfect to our taste if you put in 10 cups of water, but set it to grind only 8 cups of coffee.

Like others' reviews, unit died after 18 months. Don't Buy!

SPATL, Amazon
30 November 2012
  • Summary: The coffee maker is seriously cheap quality. The unit decided after 18 months to stop heating and pouring the water through to make coffee. Sure Krups will repair it ~ but I have to pay the shipping and I have to go without a coffee maker for about a month to get it fixed. Besides the unit just outright dying, the filter baskets that Krups uses are CHEAP.

Brew control for excellent coffee

TimW, Amazon
30 November 2012
  • Summary: Variability in the grind of the beans and how much coffee is ground fresh for each pot give an excellent degree of brew control not found on the Cuisinart grind and brew model. The machine is easier to clean, but spills a small amount of coffee grounds when the basket cover snaps into position after grinding. The warmer has a two hour shut off, which seems like an industry standard now, an option for longer hold times would be nice.

Great While it Lasted

LoN, Amazon
29 November 2012
  • Summary: This was the best coffee maker until it began leaking a year after purchasing. This coffee maker allows you to make coffee to your liking based on settings for brew strength and grind size. I'd purchase another to save me from using a separate grinder if it didn't break so soon. I suggest using a good gold filter for the best coffee taste. Anything else (paper, steel filter) will taint the flavor.
