Summary: Excellent coffee maker. I was so happy to find it used because Krups apparently stopped making this particular Moka brew and it was not available any more in stores or online. My original died after 9 years of constant use (3-5 times a day). All my friends would purchase it it's so good.
A reliable product that brews a superb cup of coffee.

Summary: I bought this unit as a spare. I have been using another Krups Moka Brew for the past decade and love the machine and the coffee it brews. It has been very reliable. With the exception of a broken carafe, due to my clumsiness, and a set of worn out seals, I have not had any trouble with it. It's too bad Krups has discontinued what I feel is their best coffee machine ever.
Summary: Makes 8 cups of coffee using steam rather than the common water drip system. Most coffee machines have a warmer plate not only to keep the coffee warm, but to heat the original pot of coffee. The first cup or so that drips through the ground coffee in a regular machine is actually cold! That does not make for good coffee. This Krups Moka brew works like a pressure cooker. Hot STEAM is pushed through the ground coffee making the most delicious brew ...
Summary: I was looking for a coffee maker that uses stainless steel for heating and storing the water because I don't want to drink plastic residues like bisphenol A . Not only does the Moka brew make excellent coffee, it is the only one I could find that uses non toxic materials.
Summary: This is a great coffee maker! A relative in Germany had one, and I loved the coffee made in it. It operates differently from others, as the water is heated below the canister, then goes up to the top and is forced under pressure through the coffee grounds. You do need GOOD coffee, of course, but this machine can bring the best flavor out of the coffee. And you can brew it quite strong, which is how I like it.
