Leaking carafe, poor customer service, no replacement carafe, bad design

Summary: I selected this product because typically I think KitchenAid products are good quality and it had a lot of features I wanted. This product has been a big disappointment as well as the very poor customer service I received. The carafe began leaking shortly after purchase.
Summary: The styling is very clean, though clock is small and hard to read. The coffee brewed by this unit comes out average, not bad, not great. The removable water tank drips all the way from the faucet to the unit making a mess of the counter.
Summary: We bought this a year and a half ago. Everything worked great and I have been super happy with it. I brew coffee almost every day - I would say I average 4 or 5 days a week. So I don't think I overuse it or anything. One day, it just stopped working.
Summary: Makes coffee absolutely....but you have to deal with the door opening during every brewing cycle and the pot drips with every cup poured. Design flaws which KitchenAid knows but hasn't come up wit a fix for the units in the field. Would return if I could. Not worth any price.
Summary: I can't recommend that anyone buy one of these. I love the design. It is easy to put the water in. But there is where my praise stops. The water container is difficult to seat so that the unit will perc. The door to the coffee compartment will not stay shut.
Summary: This coffee maker looks really cool, and it was great for three months. Today we awoke to a coffee maker that no longer works. Lights and electrical are fine, no percolating. Horrible product. Do not buy. I ignored bad reviews and focused on the good ones.
