Summary: The coffee maker leaks from the top of the carafe EVERY TIME i use it. Not just occasionally, but it leaked every single time. I think the top of the carafe restricts the coffee brewing and pours over.
Pros: Stainless steel finish looks good.
Cons: Price is high but I thought it would be a good coffee maker since it was a 'Kitchenaid'. I was wrong!
Summary: There are some design flaws in this product. The non-removable cover of the carafe, for instance, makes it difficult to clean. And the area where you pour the water into the tank is difficult to get to. Also, the only water measurement is on the inside, with none on the outside. It's serviceable and gets the job done. The coffee tastes good, but I wouldn't buy the same style again.
Summary: I am very pleased with this product. It produces the best coffee of any coffee maker I have had for a lot less than I have paid before. The only feature I miss is a visable water gauage. This product does have one but it is inside the water tank & not visible from outside of the coffee maker.
Summary: It is great for the price, I like that it is programable and it tell you how long the coffee been made for, it keeps the coffee hot. The only thing is that the rim of the coffee pot is hard clean on the inside, with that big plastic rim around the whole pot. It was well worth the money, and I also like that kitcheaid warrenty for the first year you call them and they will send a new coffeemaker and you just the old one back in the same box you recieved the new one in and...
Summary: I just returned a $132+ 10c. Kitchenaid thermal carafe coffee maker I purchased thru Amazon.ca. (THEY are awesome.) I can't tell you how disappointed I was with this product...did NO ONE TEST this before inflicting it upon the consumer??? Did anyone try to pour the thermal carafe...the first customer interface with the product??? What a mess...all over the counter.
Summary: I have the exact coffee maker except with the glass carafe and although I love it, after an hour or so my coffee doesn't have the same wonderful coffee taste. I have had thermal coffee makers before and have found them wonderful and I have since started using my new KitchenAid thermal coffee maker and absolutely love it. I find the thermal carafe much better then the glass. I highly recommend the thermal carafe to anyone who loves coffee as much as I do.
Summary: I am disappointed in the way coffee leaks out of the pot and pools around the bottom when I make a full pot. It's also difficult to lift a full pot of coffee and have to tilt it so far before the coffee comes out. I understand the pot is thermal to keep the coffee hot, but these two things are disappointing to me.
Summary: love the clean lines, style of the coffee maker however there are a couple of function flaws with the thermal: it leaks when pouring and does not get or stay really hot. It does however make good coffee so i'll keep it.
Summary: The materials may be a cut above similarly priced box-store quality products, but many similarly priced products have better design. According to the manual the warming pad can be set to stay on for two hours after the cycle ends. It doesn't. The spout is termed 'dripless.' In practice the trough on the spout is flat and very shallow, and it is highly prone to pouring puddles of coffee that you can't see while you are pouring on the table.
