Summary: I've had an Amazon account for about 10 years and never reviewed or rated a product before. I didn't buy this on Amazon but I'm using this forum to vent my disgust for this product. I didn't even buy this, it's just the coffee pot we have at work.
Cons: Price is high but I thought it would be a good coffee maker since it was a 'Kitchenaid'. I was wrong! The coffee maker leaks from the top of the carafe EVERY TIME i use it. Not just occasionally, but it leaked every single time. I think the top of the carafe restricts the coffee brewing and pours...
Summary: You'd be hard pressed to find a bigger pile of crap for 100 bucks. It leaks all over the counter, the carafe dribbles coffee everywhere, and the coffee isn't even hot... Total trash.... The Customer service is great though.. They are sending me a different model to replace it....
Summary: This KitchenAid Coffee Maker has replaced a Krups model that we used for years and were quite pleased with other than a couple of issues. Of course, first priotity with us is, does it make a good cup of coffee? -- the answer is "yes"!
Summary: I had a beloved 12 year-old thermal carafe coffee maker which broke, and I couldn't wait to try out the new models, which might make better tasting coffee. KitchenAid has such an excellent reputation that this item seemed to be perfect. Unfortunately, newer does not mean better.
Summary: I received this as a Christmas gift based on reviews at another site. I had all of the same problems mentioned in the reviews here, plus some additional ones. The biggest problem was the fact that the unit did not always respond to pressing the brew button.
Summary: My husband bought this coffee maker because it was KitchenAid. If KitchenAid wants to keep their good name they need to take this machine off the market. The coffee that actually makes it INTO your cup and not dripped all over the counter is not even hot.
Summary: Very attactive coffee maker. However, carafe does not pour well. It almost always drips. Also, the carafe is not heated following the brew cycle so the coffee cools rather quickly. Still, it's a very attractive coffee maker
Summary: My husband purchased this for me along with a kitchenaid stand mixer. I wanted a thermal carafe coffee pot and he chose by name recognition. It has been nothing but a headache since it came out of the box. While it works fine and makes a decent cup of coffee, it leaks EVERYWHERE when pouring.
Summary: Handsome machine, yes. But the thermal carafe requires you to turn the machine completely around to see the water level. Then half the coffee ends up on the kitchen table, spilling out of the shallow spout. Haven't paid the credit card bill yet and already hate it.
