Choice of Keurig mini personal single-serv, a Plus
6 July 2010
Summary: Very happy with the choice of this product. Works perfectly and looks well, does not take up a great deal of space and am enjoying trying different coffee. Have not yet found the perfect one, but it's fun trying them.
Summary: The machine is fantastic: convenient, takes up little space, fast, and easy. Clean up takes seconds. I'm the only one in the household who drinks coffee, so it's perfect; whether I want one cup or six, it's no trouble at all. But I'm very particular about my coffee, and it's been a challenge to find a full-bodied strong brew for this coffee maker. I even tried buying the Keurig My K-Cup Reusable Coffee Filter that you can load with your own coffee, but still no luck.
Summary: I've had this unit for over a year. I bought it because I didn't like having to fire up the grind and brew for just 1 cup. It's a nice, quiet, clean unit, but I find that the temperature of the coffee is not hot enough. The Keurig website says that the optimum brewing temp is 192 degrees, which is what their units use - for brewing. They do say that the temperature of the coffee when it reaches the cup can be 180-185 degrees.
Summary: I purchased one of these and was disappointed that the coffee wasn't very hot, but I thought I shouldn't expect too much from a small unit that was supposed to be more a convenience than a gourmet coffee maker. I took it to my office where it just fit the small space I had for it. It wasn't up to providing me with a good, hot cup to wake me up in the morning at home, but it could handle making a decent pick-me-up for after lunch at work.
Summary: I bought this at Bed Bath and Beyond on clearance from $89.99 down to $49.99. It looks exactly the same, but is called Keurig Mini Gourmat Single Cup Personal Brewer. It would be a great deal, if I could make it work. The brewing button does not work at all, tried with various cups. The "place a cup now" button does blink, but that's it. Exchanged for a new one, but the same problem persists. Maybe this is the reason they are on clearance now?
Summary: This is one of the easier coffee maker to use. when you push against the push word at the top, this will opens up the lid, where you place the k-cup, after you close this, than another lid opens for you to pour in the water to a water lever that is clearly mark. After you closes this lid, a little cup light will flash to let you know that you need to place a cup in the space where your cup goes.
Summary: I bought my Keurig mini ( bright red ) from QVC as a 2009 Christmas present for myself. With my old coffee maker, I got sick of making a whole pot of coffee and wasting it.. so I scaled down and used just enough ground coffee to make 2 cups at a time; this worked out ok until I realized that if I didnt drink it all fast enough, that second cup of coffee was just sitting on the burner getting nasty, and sorry, but after coffee has sat on the burner for 20 minutes, I dont...
Summary: I loved this unit when I first got it early last year... however it has some serious issues lately that come and go. I guess you get what you pay for $79. Keurig won't replace it either. 1) Coffee is not hot enough... have to heat it up in microwave. 2) Sometimes all the water doesn't brew.. creating a "short cup" of coffee.... 3) Often the reservoir lid doesn't open and there's no override. In other words.. at times you can't make a cup of coffee at all.
