Summary: We received this unit as a wedding gift in March 2014 ( we're in our 40's), having just set it up this week (after our old coffee maker died). We followed the owner's manual directions to clean the water tank. Our 1st cup of coffee was so rancid with chemical taste and smell it was absolutely un-thinkable to drink! (I took a sip, then spat it out in the sink, the taste was so bad).
Summary: I had another Keurig, which I gave to my daughter... wanted this one because it has a bigger water tank - and the option to hook up directly to a water supply line. The only thing I liked better about my other unit was that it had the option for a 12oz cup -- this one only goes up to 10oz.
Summary: I love the commercial brewer. I have bought six Keurigs over the last 8 years. One for my camper, one for my condo in Florida, one for my daughter for Christmas, and three for home use. The first one at home I dropped a cup out of a cupboard onto the brewer, it broke the display, replaced it with a Crusinart Kerurig which only lasted two years when the micro processor for the water pump died.
This is the only Keurig unit we've ever bought that we can't use.

Summary: we have purchased 6 Keurig units at home and at work. This one is still not in use. For the first few days we tried it the coffee had a strange smell and taste. I called Keurig and they recommended we let the unit sit for a few days while the plastic water chamber "outgassed" the chemicals that are used to manufacture it. The representative said that normally this happens while the units are sitting in a warehouse. We emptied it, and let it sit for a week.
Summary: I have owned Keurig coffee machines for over ten years. This machine is a nice one (although I can't figure out how to set a default size other than the factory default cup size) but almost every time I brew a cup of coffee I get an error stating the water flow has been interrupted and I have to remove and replace the reservoir. For something we paid over $250 for, that is way less than ideal. I'm going to return it.
