Summary: Makes great coffee when it works but too easy to break down. Mine worked for about a year. Then I had to send it back because of a "press rinse / system filling error". They fixed it. 4 months later, same thing... Repair $240. Customer service rep on the phone tells me the beans I use are oily... Really. I use Sturbucks blonde roast which is as dull and oil free as you can get.
Summary: Ok where do I start. I was super exited when I purched the machine. Put coffee, milk, water pressed the capuchino button and the error " non enough coffee" comes up. Called customer service ( which is horrible) they said to use a vacuum cleaner to remove the coffee and try again. Really? Alright, I did. Finally got this thing working. First the coffee was too strong, then too watery, then the milk foams and won't come out, then the coffee won't drip!

Summary: I recently purchased a Jura Impressa J9 machine. In checking out the various features I found that the programmable temperature settings (Normal & High) produced the same temperature at ~175 *F (per manual, temp should range from 176-205*F). After discussing with Customer Service personnel this unit was sent to the repair center which determined that it was working as designed. I don’t understand why they have two settings that are, by design, the same.
Summary: Makes great coffee, but we are about to return our second (!!!) J9. I have to say, for $3500 I think these things are utter ripoffs. The first took two days to start leaking. The second can't seem to recognize when you have placed ground coffee (in our case decaf espresso) in the secondary hatch. I think we have dumped at least $40 dollars worth of unused grounds. Great to clean to first thing in the morning.

Summary: Never written a review before but feel compelled given my opposite experience with Jura customer service. I've had my J9 for two years and loved it. It saves me at least $10 per day of take away cappuccinos, producing one that is superior to most (bar those from the exceptional coffee bar). After almost two years of hard use, mine stopped grinding. I sent it back through Jura customer service. Voila it returned within a couple of days with a new grinder at no charge.
Summary: As a coffee and coffee machine addict, members of my vast collection of coffeemakers go in and out of rotation. From a $2 Vietnamese Phin to this $3,000 Jura, I love them all because each one can tweak something different out of the bean. I can't say that any one machine is 'best', each is unique. Unlike the others, however, the J9 never leaves it's place on the coffee buffet station.
Summary: Have used a SAECO machine for the last ten years.Finally "blew up" and I needed a replacement. Have known the Jura machines for a long time but because of the price never considered purchasing one. Finally had the courage to purchase the Jura J9 and have absolutely no regrets. Makes excellent Espresso or a coffee with a crema. Cappuccinos or Latte Macchiatos are a breeze to make. Wish I would have purchased earlier.

Summary: Out of the box, this machine was great, is beautiful and made a good cappuccino with skim milk. However, once I tried my normal almond milk, my experience went downhill. The almond milk was only luke-warm, and the highest temperature I could get it to was 110 degrees (150-160 degrees is the normal temperature for milk). Also, after less than 2 days of use, the machine stopped dispensing any sort of espresso from either nozzle.
Very, very bad experience with the quality of their very high priced machines!

Summary: If I could choose no stars, I would. And I have a lot of experience with this companies machines. I actually haven't written a review before because Ive got so much going on with three businesses it frustrates be to be in a position with such a high ticket item that if I do write a review, it will be as long as the other unhappy reviewers HONEST one listing all of the issues they have had (and I have had the same and more). I have a Z5 and it is my THIRD Jura machine.
