I wish everyone knew the truth about the quality of these machines!

  • Summary: If I could choose no stars, I would. And I have a lot of experience with this companies machines. I actually haven't written a review before because Ive got so much going on with three businesses it frustrates be to be in a position with such a high ticket item that if I do write a review, it will be as long as the other unhappy reviewers HONEST one listing all of the issues they have had (and I have had the same and more). I have a Z5 and it is my THIRD Jura machine.

Nightmare to maintan

  • Summary: These peices of crap make decent coffee for a year or so and then break down. You can't get into them to fix it yourself and they won't even look at it unless you pay $300 a pop. Customer Service are for the most part A$$holes' "I wouldn't have spent $3,000 for a coffee maker in the first place"??!!!??? Stay away...

Don't Buy - Major Quality Control Issues

  • Summary: I had a Jura Capresso E8 model for about 6 years and was generally satisfied with the machine and the company's customer service. Then I decided to buy a more recent model that made one-touch cappuccinos, etc. So, I went online and bought a refurbished Z5 (originally a $3000 machine selling for half that price). What a mistake. Something has happened to this company, because it is no longer the same outfit.

Dissatisified with Jura Capresso Customer Service for Z5

  • Summary: We have enjoyed our Z5 for about 3-4 years now. It is a fantastic coffee machine - but I'm submitting a poor review because of very poor post-sales service. My machine is leaking water. I have learned that it's a simple fix - but it requires that I open the machine and either reattach or replace a hose. However becuase Jura Capresso uses special proprietary screw-heads (they are oval pan-head) it is impossible to open the unit.

Impressa Z5 Nightmare

  • Summary: Not only is the American based service center unreasonable on the telephone, but the quality of their repairs is horrible. I sent my DEFECTIVE and under warranty Z5 to them for repair. They repaired it all right. It made horrible noises and the pump sounded like a freight train. I called them about it. They tried to tell me that depending on where it sits in the kitchen, it can amplify simple sounds.

so-so tasting coffee, poor quality machine

  • Summary: We've had our Jura Impressa Z5 since 2007. There was almost no use for the first two years, followed by a year of making one cup a day. From the beginning, the coffee only tasted so-so, not nearly as good as what we used to make with our old Saeco purchased at Starbucks. But my husband liked the convenience. Now the machine makes such horrible-tasting "coffee" that it is undrinkable.

RESEARCH before purchase!!!!!

  • Summary: My husband and I were sold on this machine about 3 years ago from trying the espresso from it at William Sonoma. We bought it and within a month of use, water started to leak all over the counter and has ever since when there is a full tank of water. Also very early on in the first few months of use, an error "system fill" kept cropping up. After several calls to customer support which they were of no help, it still has that error to this day.

FORGET ABOUT SERVICE OR WARRANTY

  • Summary: I PURCHASED THE Z5 FOR A WEEKEND HOME SEVERAL MONTHS AGO. MACHINE IS HARDLY USED. MADE LUKEWARM COFFEE AND SLIGHTLY WARM MILK AND GENERALLY WAS A LEMON. FINALLY RETURNED MACHINE AT MY PACKING EXPENSE TO THE COMPANY WHO RETURNED IT IN 4 DIFFERENT PIECES. IT WAS COMPLETELY BROKEN. THE BEST THAT THEY WILL DO IS SEND ANOTHER CUSTOMER'S REFURBISHED MACHINE IN EXCHANGE FOR THEM BREAKING THE MACHINE. THIS SITUATION IS SO OUTRAGEOUS THAT IT IS INCOMPREHENSIBLE.
