Summary: I bought this machine refurbished for my wife as a gift. We've had it for more than a year now, and i just checked the coffee count. 1871 cups (almost all lattes or cappuccinos), and never a hiccup. That's about 5 a day. To say it's flawless is an understatement. Easy, fast, convenient as hell. i'd considered the Ranchilio Silvia but after seeing the 20 steps and temperature surfing required to get it right i thought, no, i'm done with that.
Summary: I bought the Impressa F7 for around $[...] about four years ago. I've had error messages and jamming for 3, even after they "repaired" it. For the last six months, it'll freeze up once a day, sometimes after I make one espresso, sometimes before I can make any. Now it doesn't work at all. The metal puck part is jammed up high inside. Not sure if it's bad engineering or inferior materials or both. But for $[...], it should last more than four years. You've been warned.
Summary: This unit makes excellent coffee. If has preset buttons that let you make a great espresso or cappuccino right out of the box. It also gives you the ability to program it if you want to tweak the settings to even further perfect the coffee to your tastes. I had this unit for six years in an office environment where it saw heavy use. It paid for itself 10 times over, compared to going across the street to Starbucks.
Summary: The decision for us was down to a rancilio silvia, where we thought we'd learn to scratch our coffee itch like the pros, or something that did all the work for us. As I studied temperature surfing and the 20-step process we'd need to really make the silvia sing, I realized that my wife's 3-latte-morning habit would probably not fit well with that machine. So i took the double plunge by buying not only this beast, but buying it refurbished for under a grand.
Summary: After much research, we purchased this machine as certified pre-brewed. We knew we wanted a Jura, and our budget only went so far. Instead of a new lower end machine we spent our allotted amount on a CPB S7 avantgarde. It arrived in only 48 hours, with Saturday delivery. We wanted a machine with Xpress froth, and the double boiler so we wouldn't have to wait between frothing and brewing or vice versa.
Jura Capresso S7 Avantgarde has been flawless 3yrs
Suprema Crema, Amazon
30 June 2009
Summary: I'll keep this review simple... the S7 AG my wife and I got about 3 years ago has worked flawlessly. I clean it on a regular basis, which I have also heard is key not only for the sake of better tasting coffee, but also for the life and performance of the machine. We make shots almost every day and I guess we've made upwards of 2,000 drinks, and still it runs well. Prior to the Jura, I went through THREE Francis!Francis! machines (even the cool stainless version).
A quality superautomatic espresso machine, but pricey
24 June 2009
Summary: I've now owned the Jura Capresso S7 superautomatic espresso machine for several years, so I've had plenty of time to get to know the unit. As far as superautos go, it makes excellent espresso. Now do understand that the superautomatics are a compromise. You will likely never pour "The Crema of the Gods" that you *might* see every now and then with a quality manual machine. But this unit will give you very good shots with great consistency.
Paiment forward to Laurie Smith Terminé Détails -$
26 February 2008
Summary: Paiment forward to Laurie Smith Terminé Détails -$953.00 USD fébruary 11. I do not understand because you indicate that I did not pay the article. This was paid on February 11th, in the montatnt of 954,00 I do not think that you would have sent me without that I paid him(it). Why you react as it, I do not know why it indicated a bad mark on ebay I was only asking for the information. I only want to know if she(it) was réusiné or broken.
Summary: My wife and I purchased an Jura S7 Avantgarde for each other last Christmas. Due to its high cost, and a few reviews relating faulty machines, we did opt to buy from a company with a lifetime "no questions asked" return policy. Also note that this is the same machine as the S9 for about 300.00 less. We have found the the black color is much easier to keep looking clean. In the past year, we have used the machine multiple times daily.
Summary: First, the good news: when the machine works, it makes excellent coffee. Now the rest of the story. We bought this machine ten months ago. In that time, the machine has broken four times. We're now on our fifth breakdown. I have logged several hours with Jura-Capresso's customer service people (or on hold waiting for them), with wildly mixed results. At times, they have been helpful, promptly sending a new machine to replace the broken one.
