Summary: Bought this machine as we are coffee drinkers. What a disappointment. Very expensive. Been back for repair after 3 months use. Asked for refund refused. Sits in box unused. Waste of money. Gone back to using Tassimo.
Summary: Purchased this Christmas 2011. Makes great coffee but brewing unit failed after 6 months. It then spent nearly 6 weeks being repaired using the previously mentioned poor repair service from Jura. Other Jura models are made in Switzerland. This one isn't. Friends have other models which have run for years with no problems. For the money the quality and service from Jura is not up to scratch. I would not buy this model again.
Summary: Eventually decided to buy this coffee machine after much consideration. Initially we were disappointed as it made a rather weak black coffee due to the finest grind setting being rather coarse. Returned to Jura who adjusted the setting and it then worked fine for 5 months, before the brew unit failed. A big problem is that you cannot return this through John Lewis and Jura will only arrange collection/delivery during Mon-Fri working hours.
Summary: Machine has already been returned and new brewer unit - after 2months. Then broke again. Water leaks out and coffee has stained the work tops. PLUS the chute for ground coffee is full of mould. In fact when I took the machine apart it was full of mould. Not good.
Excerpt: Na nog geen drie maanden ook reparatie nodig. Koffie bleef hangen, spoelwater liep het apparaat in. Hij doet het nu weer, maar ik vind nog steeds dat de melk te lauw uit het apparaat komt, waardoor de koffie niet heet is. Ook al warm ik de kopjes voor. Melk moet eerst opgewarmd worden in magnetron. En daar koop je geen duur apparaat voor toch.
