Summary: We bought the HB48465 to replace an older similar style coffee maker. A reservoir type coffee maker is the way to go - the small heating element keeps your coffee warm, but doesn't burn or evaporate it like the old "hot plate" style does. The HB48465 also has a couple of nice features that our previous coffee maker didn't: a "BOLD" setting (slows down the drip rate to make a stronger brew) and the ability to set the amount of time the warming plate stays on.
Summary: This is actually the second one we have had. We drink a lot of coffee at our house and this is urn is perfect for us. The first one we had lasted 10 years, so needless to say we bought the same one.
Summary: After using a Keurig (which broke after 1 year), and using a Bunn for many years, I really like this brew station. I wanted a coffee maker that did not use K cups and also did not keep water hot 24/7. This one fits the bill. Some of the review I read before mentioned dripping when getting a cup of coffee. I have found this to be completely false. No drips no matter what size or shape of cup. I have mine on bold and it makes excellent coffee.
Summary: I give this product the highest rating. The coffee maker works beautifully; the coffee always tastes good and fresh. It is a nice product for people who rush out the door in the morning to go to work or school. I have a small cup at home and then fill up my to-go container and take it to work.
