The Good, the Bad and the Ugly
A. Boyd "Boydbrain", Amazon
28 December 2011
Summary: The Good Intuitive controls. Clock, timer, etc. are super-easy to figure out; we did not need the instructions to get it set up. The display is bright and can double as a nightlight. Somewhat attractive design. Makes good coffee. Also makes iced coffee if you like. The Bad Feels like there are too many parts to disassemble/reassemble to make coffee.
Summary: I had an older, non-programmable one and loved it. It finally wore out and I got this one. I like the features and it makes great coffee, but you get water everywhere when you refill it. It condensates to the lid and bottom of the filter tray, leaking water all over the counter and floor. I will be returning it.
Summary: The water would quickly leak from the bottom of the machine as soon as it was poured into the water reservoir. Hoping that we had just received a bad apple, because we do like the product and would like it again (if it exists without the problem).
Summary: I love the concept of this coffee maker! It keeps coffee hot for hours, but also has a 4hr auto shut-off in case you're forgetful. There's no carafe to worry about, and the coffee doesn't get scalded as happens when it sitting on a hot plate. Its easy to use and makes good coffee. But - we have ridiculously hard water, and despite running vinegar through it once a month the dispenser no longer works.
