Summary: Bought this coffeemaker because it was highly rated by Consumer Reports. It makes an excellent cup of coffee if you use excellent coffee beans. Not thrilled with the keeping-it-warm feature. It burns the coffee. So, we don't use it. We pour the coffee into a thermal carafe to keep it somewhat hot.
Summary: I am a coffee addict and this is the best coffee machine I have ever used. This is the third machine I have purchased now having bought my very first one about 6 years ago, my 2nd one because my mother stole my first one (which she still has and is still working perfectly) and now this one after 4 straight years of using my second to brew at least two pots of coffee daily. I love that it keeps the coffee hot and fresh without over brewing it or burning it.
Summary: Bought this Coffee maker for our Airstream travel trailer and it is perfect. Nice size, makes great coffee and not having to worry about storing a glass carafe makes it so much easier to travel with. Good value for the money and it also looks nice with our aluminum interior of the Airstream.
Summary: ***Update - despite ordering the carafe for the model 47454, I was sent the carafe for this model. Since I won't be able to change the seal, I guess I'll be looking for a new brand when this carafe dies. Ended up being an extremely expensive replacement, and poor quality, to boot. I previously owned this model Hamilton Beach 47454 BrewStation Deluxe 12-Cup Coffeemaker and never had an issue until after several years of ownership.
Summary: I just got this coffee maker and retired the other one from Hamilron Beach that I had for about 5-6 years. I had the first Hamilton Beach brew station and it was great. It started leaking and brewing slower. I clean it out, use filtered water so I didn't have a huge problem. I had ordered this one and it's great so far. It brews faster than the first one ever did, and the speed the coffee comes out is just awesome. It's user friendly like the last one.
It does boil the coffee, and the insulation is nonexistent

Summary: This item claims not to boil the coffee, which can create a "burned" taste. However, you can hear it boiling the coffee from a few feet away. It is not a rolling boil, but the kind where you see tiny (maybe 1mm) bubbles forming on the heat plate in the 'carafe.' This is too bad, because the original 12-cup Brewstation Hamilton Beach 47665 BrewStation Plus 12-Cup Automatic Drip Coffeemaker never boiled my coffee. I had it for nine years!
Summary: I have had several Hamilton Beach coffee makers. This one is ok, but not too easy to take apart to make the coffee. I have to pull the maker all the way out from under the counter and the basket will not come out easily. However, I really like to be able to get my coffee fresh from the dispenser. Love fresh java!
Summary: We have been using this coffee pot for about 6-7 weeks now. Thus far, it has performed perfectly. It does not leak from the spout, the coffee brews hot and stays hot. I purchased this product because my wife wanted a carafe-less coffee pot and we had used one similar to this model at a friends house. Even though I heard horror stories about the cheaper ones leaking and breaking easily, so far, this one has performed as advertised.
Summary: My unit is 13 months old and just started the dreaded leaking described by others. It took about 15 minutes to fix. Inside the, for lack of a better term, "pot", there is a dome shaped screen filter that keeps grounds from getting into the flap type valve. I removed the screen, it is flexible and pops out with a little effort. I then simply flipped the rubber seal over. The seal was supposed to be flat and was becoming conical in shape due to the tension from the spring.
