  • Cons: Burns the coffee after 1 hour... Nasty after it simmers over 1 hour.... Plastic holding tank .. Best to expect to finish your brew before it gets the burned taste..

  • Excerpt: The Hamiton Beach BrewStation 48274 6-Cup Coffee Maker is pefect for those that only need 1 or 2 cups of java to get going in the morning. We previously had a standard 12 cup coffee maker and I noticed that we were often pouring our money down the drain.

  • Excerpt: A friend of ours had a similar coffee maker at her house, and said that she loved it, so we looked around and decided to get this one, based on the price. I love the ease of just getting a mug and pushing the button with it!

  • Excerpt: The hamilton beach brewstation 48274 six cup coffee maker is definitely a very simple and basic coffeemaker, but I have absolutely no problem with that! This coffeemaker has been in our household for a little over a year after I bought it on sale for around $20.

Hamilton Beach 6 cup brewstation - do not care for it!

Chris50, Viewpoints
2 November 2010
  • Excerpt: I purchased this brewstation to replace my coffeemaker I had in my office at work. I liked size and thought I would like the fact that of not having a pot. However, what I didn't care for is that you have to bring the whole station to the sink to fill and have a pitcher to fill it.

  • Pros: very nice coffeemaker, does exactly what its suppose to for a reasonable price. takes about 3/4 tablespoon per cup depending how strong you want it.
  • Cons: The heating unit doesn't make the coffee scorching hot this wont be a con for some but i like to store mine for about 8 hours or so in a thermos and need it to be very hot when i put it in..not worth docking a egg for it though as it does get it pretty hot just not scorching hot.
