Excerpt: Buyer beware. Open box and plugged it in LED display did not work. Instructions were difficult to understand and did not explain the varius features of the product. Water was difficult to pour into the unit. Produced luke warm coffee and leaked. This unit is far below acceptable standards.
Excerpt: I got the Hamilton Beach Brewstation to replace my Cuisinart that died, I needed something quick and this was my option as Walmart... so I went with it. So far it's a nice coffee maker, it makes good coffee very quickly, keep it nice and hot. It's easy to use, very straight forward.
Summary: I purchased a used maker.. That was a mistake. The maker arrived with a small crack at the base. Repaired that with glue. Then when i attempted to make coffee, the water leaked out all over the counter.. I was so outdone that I went to Walmart and purchased a new one.
Summary: After going through 3 Mr. Coffee four cup makers (the digital timers died) I tried the 6 cup Hamilton Beach Brew Station. It makes good coffee but preparing the maker is a bit complicated until you learn the drill. Also, it takes time to get everything ready to go again.
Summary: I bought the hot pink version, #48271, from the after school clearance aisle for $11. Most of the comments about this style of Hamilton Beach Brewmaster (regardless of the model #) are right on. the pros: +It makes 2 travel mugs of coffee. +The coffee is hot and delicious!
Summary: Hey I'm lovin my 6 cup brewstation...and I know a trick to keep coffee tasting fabulous...place about 3/8 of an inch of water into the coffee warming station (the top level...under the basket)...that way the coffee isn't hitting on the element and scorching!!
Summary: I just purchased this coffee maker and it does make 6 cups of coffee. Other reviewers have no clue what a cup of coffee is evidently. Coffee makers are 4 oz. = a cup, not 8 oz. My previous coffee maker was a 12 cup and I only ever made coffee up to the 6 cup line on the side of the pot.
Summary: Just purchased this coffee maker and is perfect. Not too small or too big. To the other posts claiming that it makes so little coffee, I call BS. I use a bigger than average coffee mug and I get 3 full mugs of coffee, which is ideal for me.
