Summary: This thing works per directions; it is a little hard to see the water level get to the fill line. It does exactly what HB claims - makes coffee without having a carafe. The capacity is just right for us. We've been using a regular coffee maker, but with just about 6 cups (not mugs) of water/coffee, so the size is great for us.
Summary: I bought this coffee maker for the idea of not having to deal with a glass carafe. After a little practice and trial and error, I can now make a pretty good cup of coffee. A few things to consider, it says 6 cups, but it actually makes about 2-3 mugs of coffee. Instead of the coffee going into a carafe, it goes into the resevoir setting above, which has a heating device.
Summary: I bought this almost two years ago after trying a k-cup coffee maker and not liking it. This allowed me to have more than one cup of warm coffee without making a whole pot. The quality of this product has been amazing. I haven't had a single issue with it, and I use it on a daily basis. It uses the 4-6 cup filters, I can use whatever coffee I like, clean up is so easy, the coffee says hot and I can dispense it with ease. This is my best coffee pot yet.
Summary: I finally broke my last carafe and bought this brewstation. It is the perfect size for me, as I am the only coffee drinker in our house. It's great for a few cups of coffee as I'm getting ready for work. Works fine. Coffee stays warm until I'm finished with it.
Summary: makes a good, hot cup of coffee quickly (I tried 4 different machines) but is rather cheap looking and requires far more steps than most coffee makers. you have to lift the lid (kinda flimsy/wobbly), swing back the brew arm, then lift out the grounds basket to empty it, set it down somewhere while you lift the water reservoir out, fill the water reservoir, pour the into the tank, place the reservoir back in the machine, put the brew basket back in place, fill it, swing...
Summary: I've used this machine about ten times thus far and it's performance has been consistent. It brews coffee hot enough to easily burn your mouth (that's hot enough for me), it does not make a mess like others say (unless you're moving and bumping it while it's full), and it's fairly easy to clean. Pours well, brews pretty quickly, and takes paper filters and your fav ground coffee.
