Summary: There are two good things about this coffeemaker: 1) it looks nice and 2) the thermos-style carafe keeps the coffee (almost) hot for a while without scorching it. Other than that, it is absolutely the most annoying and difficult to use small appliance I have ever had. The carafe is opaque, so it is impossible to see how much of water or coffee is in it.
Summary: This is the BEST coffee maker I have ever owned. I love that it's a stainless steel thermos with no hot plate feature--keeps your coffee warm for hours without that burnt coffee taste. It keeps the coffee fresh enough that I can actually save and reheat the next day if I want. I also love the pause and pour feature that allows you to pull the thermos off the base mid-brew (which pauses brewing) to pour yourself a cup before brewing has finished--no spills! Do recommend.
Summary: This is hands-down the absolute worst coffee maker I've ever had the displeasure of dealing with. The seal between the pourspout of the carafe and the metal bottom is flawed and leaks when you pour it, meaning you HAVE to pour it over the sink or you'll get coffee everywhere. The machine leaks out the bottom when brewing coffee, creating puddles of water on the counter [and quite a bit, too.
