Summary: I have had 4 cappuccino makers in the past 15 years and this is far and away the best. The others broke down on a regular basis and I could never find anyone to fix them, so they were trash. This one has never broke down. I had to replace the spiget on the milk frother because I let it slip down the garbage disposal and I went on line and found a number. The only North American parts supplier was in Canada, but they were very good and the part arrived quickly.
Summary: A number of reviewers mentioned the need for a really good coffee grinder in order to get the most out of this machine. Guess what? I have a great grinder and I'm still not pleased by this espresso maker. It shoots coffee out of the spouts, requiring me to hold two cups up to the basket to keep my kitchen from getting covered with coffee. Despite using good quality coffee, the quality of the espresso that spits out is inconsistent.
Summary: Bought this from Whole Latte Love. It is so temperamental. If the grind is too fine the water leaks over the top of the portafilter. If the grind is just right its too weak. it also leaks after the cup is made. A lot. WLL's answer was they all do. Frother leaks as well after using it for a few seconds, but have to say it goths really well otherwise it would have received one star. looking to get rid of it and buy something better.
Summary: The machine has a few quirks but overall it's been great. I feel like it's a solid entry into the world of espresso and easy on the budget. Will take me no time to make my money back with the wife no longer going to Starbucks.
Summary: I bought it in 2009 which is five years ago and it makes the best froth ever! I found the pods work best unless you want to clean it often. I have had a few times that nothing will come out and I get out the book, follow directions and it works again. I love the froth for cappuccino which is my beverage of choice.
Good machine for the price if you can live with the build quality.

Summary: This machine does a good job. It is sort of a poor-mans gaggia classic. No 3 way valve, no adjustable over-pressure valve. But these have not been an issue for me. Heats up fast, good steam pressure. There are a few tricks to get good results out of this machine. The first is to open the steam valve up for a couple seconds when pressing the brew button, which softens the initial pressure onto the coffee puck, sort of a pre-infuse.
Summary: Purchased from Whole Latte Love this machine came in a soaked box and the pump is incredibly noisy! Whole Latte Love listened to it over the phone and said it sounded just fine but I can not believe an Italian company would make a machine with such a noisy rattle and moan. It makes good coffee but I can't help to wonder if I have a lemon.
