Summary: Gaggia has a reputation for building relatively solid though finicky espresso makers. This machine is one of the new generation of Gaggias, which evidently are attempting to retreat from the reputation of solidity.
Summary: This is my 5th espresso machine i've owned. I must say the picture is a bit deceiving on build quality and how flimsy the machine really is. I was very dissappointed when i received it from Amazon. Even mre so when I brewed my first cup. Coffee was very weak and with very little crema.
Summary: I gave this machine as a present, and two parts were missing (the black plastic cover for the frother and the coffee tamper). I contacted the seller, who was on a trip and he promised to check in case these parts were left behind. He promised to respond after Jan 31, and it's only Jan. 30.
Summary: I bought this machine in November 2008. Since then, I have been having problems with it, the gasket in the portafilter does not last much, and after a year or so, water starts dripping a lot when is been heated to be used as steam. I have called Gaggia but never were able to help me.

Summary: I bought my Dose two years ago and have been very pleased with its performance as well as the quality of espresso it produces. The water reservoir is more than adequate. The crema the machine produces is very satisfactory and the frothing function produces a fine capuccino.
Summary: I have owned a number of Gaggia machines and liked them. I bought this for my girlfriend and it is the worst espresso machine I have used. it is a poorly manufactured plastic imitation of a Gaggia machine. It is too light and you have to hold it down to attach the porta-filter.
Summary: I bought this machine from Wholelattelove and am very dissapointed. It failed after 30 days. It started pumping spontaneously, pumped itself dry and then quit pumping. So far its taken Wholelattelove 2 months to repair it and I still dont have it.

Summary: I purchased this from Amazon in January and found it makes great espresso for a relatively small and light weight machine. I also have a Sirena which is much sturdier and more expensive but I think that the Gaggia makes a better espresso.
