Summary: I purchased this at a promotion discount from Illy. For espresso fans this is going to disappoint but it does produce an easy, satisfactory coffee (overpriced when you figure the cost per capsule).
For what it is, and what it cost, it works just fine!

Summary: I bought the X8 machine on promotion directly from Illy in 2009. It's outlived the Breville XL 900. Of course at this price($175.00) it's not perfection but it's paid for itself many times over. Never had a bad shot out of the machine it's always good... sometimes great!

Summary: The FrancisFrancis X8 makes really good espressos with thick long lasting crema. I've tried all 4 varieties of the capsule and the lungo is my favorite. Summary: I purchased the machine direct from Illy for $175 last month by signing up for the home delivery service. I love this machine. It's a simple, neat way to enjoy a top-notch cappucino. I haven't had any major problems. My only regret is that I didn't get one a lot sooner.
Summary: I bought this machine for my office but had it shipped to my home. I made the mistake of setting it up just to try it before I took it into my office. My wife tried it and after that, I had to buy a second machine for my office as she kept the first for our home.
