there toaster are great but this machine is awful
20 September 2014
Summary: Rubbish machine, don't know what Dualit are doing or thinking, there toaster are great but this machine is awful, it leaks from the portahead ( the group that holds the coffee), there is not enough pressure to push the water through, you need to buy filter papers, extremely noisy.
Summary: I have been buying things from Amazon from 1999 with the same account. Sadly, this is the first time I return an item. Even if the look of the machine is great, the quality of the material was less so and it was easy to scratch any part of it. More importantly, the quality of the coffee was poor.
Summary: Bought this as joint present to ourselves last Christmas. Very soon started to go wrong. Tiny hole in coffee grind holder blocks very easily - after about two cups even though I religiously use their own filter papers. It need cleaning out with little spikey things supplied.
If you are ready to descale every week or two then this machine might be for you else AVOID.

Summary: Having taken delivery of one of these 3 months ago I was excited to see how it would be. I'm no connoisseur but I love my coffee. It took a lot of goes to get the water to flow anything like what it sowed in any of the adverts and YouTube videos they publish.
Summary: I have owned this machine for about 5 months, and have had problems with it for about 4 of those months. I read the amazon reviews and warnings and bought it anyway (it's listed as a which? best buy and we know we should trust which?) and have regretted not returning it at the first sign of trouble.
Summary: New machine I got in Nov 14 failed after 2 weeks-pump failed and poured water everywhere. Replacement machine now also failed after less then 3 months. Pump got slowly weaker and now takes ages to filter the water through the holder-therefore burnt coffee, steam and coffee grinds blown everywhere.
Summary: Have had this machine for 3-4months. When using the machine as described in the manual you will get lukewarm coffee. It is necessary to preheat the machine for quite a bit longer than the temperature indicator tells. The cleaning process is for the technically inclined.
Summary: After spending considerable time trying to find a new coffee machine and after having passed my trusty £30 "bargain" coffee machine to someone else, I decided to splash out on something new. First impressions out of the box are that it looks amazing, the chrome really sets it off.
Summary: The negative - I'm not sure how this machine has any positive reviews, we got to our third replacement, after that we asked for a refund. The machine is complete garbage, and after speaking with Dualit and other consumers, I think they all know its junk too.
