Summary: I can relate to several of the reviews here. My first Dualit sprang a leak after 2 days and went back. It was fine for a while but as others have noted here, after a few months it started struggling to push the water through.
Summary: New machine I got in Nov 14 failed after 2 weeks-pump failed and poured water everywhere. Replacement machine now also failed after less then 3 months. Pump got slowly weaker and now takes ages to filter the water through the holder-therefore burnt coffee, steam and coffee grinds blown everywhere.
Summary: Noisy, messy and not fit for purpose! Received as a wedding present but we are sending it back. Not only is it noisy and messy but the pump isn't sufficient to make a double shot of espresso ground coffee.
Summary: Rubbish machine, don't know what Dualit are doing or thinking, there toaster are great but this machine is awful, it leaks from the portahead ( the group that holds the coffee), there is not enough pressure to push the water through, you need to buy filter papers, extremely noisy.
Summary: I’ve had the same dualit toaster for 30 years its brilliant. I wish I could say the same for the dualit espresso machine. Sadly it is genuinely one of the worst products I have ever used. Its been sent back after 3 days.
Summary: Leaked from back every time i used it. Flooded the work surface each time i used it and the floor too. The drip tray also filled up each time but could not understand where the water came from as i kept a cup under it as it dripped away for ages.
Summary: I have been buying things from Amazon from 1999 with the same account. Sadly, this is the first time I return an item. Even if the look of the machine is great, the quality of the material was less so and it was easy to scratch any part of it. More importantly, the quality of the coffee was poor.
Summary: Bought this as joint present to ourselves last Christmas. Very soon started to go wrong. Tiny hole in coffee grind holder blocks very easily - after about two cups even though I religiously use their own filter papers. It need cleaning out with little spikey things supplied.
