Summary: The display doesn't work well after using less than half year. I made the first call that they told me that they accept return in half year, but in my second call, they denied. I took it to the service center, and they ordered the parts over 45 days, but still not been delivered. The Coffee Machine is really well, but the after-sale service is too bad...I need to wait the parts until my coffee is expired....
Summary: this machine is way to expensive. I do agree with one of the previous poster (Joe Egg ). It was like reading my own experience but I have something else to add. Right after the warranty run out, the machine started to leak like a sift. For a while I could still use it while I protected my counter with a towel. It leaked in the on and off position. This is the third machine from DeLonghi and they all leaked. Very disappointed.
Summary: Keep it simple here. The machine makes awesome Americanos, lattes, capuccino, mochas, et al. Fresh beans and fresh brewing are great. When the machine works... Read that again WHEN THE MACHINE WORKS. I have had my DeLonghi for 57 months. During that time it has been broken or in the shop 19 months - yes about 1/3 of the time. The machine originally cost me $2400, and I have over $1200 into it in repairs and shipping. Shipping?
Summary: I've read other reviews, some of which border on the silly, you have to empty grounds, add water, ah. . . clear it? Yes, like any home appliance unless you have hired help, you've got to clean any food/beverage machine. This is my second DeLonghi, replacing a Rialto I had that worked without a problem for almost six years. It stopped grinding beans, or else I'd still be using it.
Summary: Was a huge purchase, but 2 months later, we are still glad we spent the money. One thing to note, we used to use a five pound bag of beans every three weeks on our old drip coffee machine. Now we use a five pound bag in about five weeks which is a money saver and a nice surprise. The machine is simply more skilled at extracting the yummy coffee goodness than our old one was. UPDATE: One year later, and we still love this machine.
Summary: I have recently spent 6 weeks in Europe (Italy, Germany and England) and experienced some great cappuccinos. Once I came back to the States, I was unable to drink the coffee at all (even Starbucks). This machine is great! Used it every day for last month and love it. I can purchase the cheapest coffee from Costco ($10 for about 2.5lbs) and still get great tasting cappuccino. Yes I will agree with some reviews that the machine is a little loud.
Summary: awesome machine - only complaint is coffee / espresso doesn't get as hot as i'd prefer - really top notch construction. beautiful machine. conical burr grinder works well and efficiently. Nice yummy crema. Milk drinks served really efficiently with froth or steam and the feature that milk container can be taken easily removed and placed in fridge is very nice. Easy machine to clean.
