Summary: We have had our Gran Dama for over 5 years now and has held up very well under daily use. I use it every day for a double large cup of coffee and on weekends we usually make Cappuccino. First and foremost, I give very high marks coffee output. I used Lavazza super crema beans and get a rich dark brew using the double tall cup setting which gives about a 3/4 fill level to 12 OZ coffee mugs and a nice tan crema floats on the top. The temp is just shy of hot.
Summary: I researched fully automatic espresso machines for over 6 months, always coming back to the Delonghi products. I read the good, the bad and the ugly of all of them, watched videos ect.... As we continued to drain our bank account with "take out, expensive, lattes and cappucino's" we bit the bullet and purchased the Delonghi Gran Dama. WOW is all I can say... We use it every day.
Excerpt: My partner just bought one of these machines a month ago, hoping to cut down on the cost of our fancy coffee intake from places like Starbucks, Caribou, and Dunkin Donuts. I was leery, since it never seems like what you try to make at home yourself is anything like what you can get out at a restaurant/coffee shop (save Italian food, I guess!). But I will have to give him credit--he really did pick quite an impressive machine.
The Delonghi Super automatic espresso machine is a lifesaver.

Excerpt: I love the Delonghi super automatic espresso machine. It was a long discussion and major decision to purchase. The cost can scare people away. Once I got it and started using it, I have not been back to a coffee shop since. The quality is consistant, the taste is supurb. The machine does everything for you at the touch of a button, how much easier can it be. No more spending money for your morning cup of coffee. Stay home that extra 30 minutes and relax.
Summary: great machine.. coffee tastes amazing.. and I am very picky! I was concerned about the milk frothing system,,,main reason I got this machine! But the milk froths perfectly EVERY time! I am keeping the milk container ( without the top) in the fridge . Always using cold, skim milk.. and remember to set the marker in position 2. Works like a charm. I am very happy. Easy to clean , looks very good in my kitchen.
Summary: First of all, this machine is physically superior to all other super-automatic brands I checked out. The top line Jura, Saeco, and Krups are all wrapped in plastic with steel accents in front while the Delonghi is fully encased in steel. The engineering is very solid and it has a gorgeous presence in the kitchen. If you like Cappuccino, you will love this machine and its truly one touch operation.
Summary: I own this model and before i shelled out a few grand for it i of course came to amazon to read all the reviews. the one thing I kept reading about was the jamming that was occuring with others who own this macheine and the milk container sticking or jamming.. there is nothing wrong with the unit... yes over time the milk container will start to stick and become hard to insert and hard to remove.. What i'm going to now try and explain, should fix this issue...
Summary: I had a Jura Capresso F9 for a year before it went bad - the company replaced it with a refurbished machine. I had upgraded to the Jura from a Saeco which was an absolute nightmare. Ultimately I enjoyed my Jura but hated that none of the parts were user-serviceable and I had to rely onthe cleaning tablets to ensure that the machine was 'clean'.
Delonghi Gran Dama brews great latte, cappacino and plain coffee

Excerpt: Delonghi Gran Dama brews great latte, cappacino and plain coffee at the touch of a button. I bought mine on ebay at $1000 below Williams and Sonoma retail prices. I asked at W & S if they ever put them on sale and they said no.
Summary: I have owned a run of the mill krups coffee maker forever. It refused to die. I could not imagine spending thousands for a coffee machine but my wife really wanted to get me something special for father's day. I did a fairly compulsive online review but it was not until I saw the Grand Dama up close and personal that I made up my mind. It's a beautiful piece of kitchen sculpture. Now came the test, would it work?
