Summary: I was very excited when I purchased my machine just under 2 years ago. However, after just 1 year, I began to have problems with the machine. I would periodically get an error that "Ground is too fine, adjust ground level". I performed the steps Delonghi said to fix the issue and it did not fix it.
Summary: Keep it simple here. The machine makes awesome Americanos, lattes, capuccino, mochas, et al. Fresh beans and fresh brewing are great. When the machine works... Read that again WHEN THE MACHINE WORKS. I have had my DeLonghi for 57 months.
Summary: Bought this product online from Essential Espresso. Arrived not working (water pump does not deliver / circulate any water). Tried online tips, manual, included DVD, etc. Called Essential Espresso and they said call Delonghi.
Summary: Makes the worst lattes. I describe this as the "neediest" automatic espresso machine I've ever owned. It constantly needs something (refill tank, empty grounds, fill beans due to small hoppers, bins and tanks). Highly suggest not buying this model.
Summary: I had the esam 4500 and upgraded to the Gran Dama. It's a little over a year now and the LED display just completely died on me. I live in colorado and to get this looked at costs 300 plus then whatever the parts and maintenance are on fixing the issue.
Summary: I purchased my original Gran Dama about 18 months a go. A few months after purchasing it I returned it because the display stopped working. They exchanged it. Now the display has quit again. DeLonghi tells me they cannot help me because I cannot find the receipt.
Summary: Little heavy on the learning scale to use. Took month to get it. Only used it like 4 times then it broke got stuck telling me to clean the grounds tray you could eat out of it it was so clean. Called there tech put me threw some test with the machine ...
Summary: I have bought two DeLonghi machines and both have failed within a year and both have been sent back for repair two times each. I will not buy another one as the quality is so poor. Find another one to fulfill your needs.
Summary: After careful research, I decided on the Delonghi Gran Dama instead of the Jura expressa. Today I received my Gran Dama in advance of my visiting house guests who arrive tomorrow. The machine arrived on time ... I put the DVD in my player to follow instructions and learn the features.
Summary: I had to return two of these machines - on the first, the milk pitcher was almost impossible to install on the machine - it worked a few times, then started sticking terribly. Then it stopped recognizing that the pitcher was installed at all, thereby making a latte impossible.
